i heard that there was a new pokemon game coming out...so i looked on youtube and saw that there were new pokemon....my friend told me that there are no new pokemon but a different storyline...so is there new pokemon or not???
So far there have been released pictures of new forms of Shaymin and Giratina, but no new pokemon. And yes, its just like Crystal, Emerald; theres a different story with new areas, etc.
There are 2 new pokemon forms, but they're not entirely new pokemon. There is only one pokemon game coming that we know of, Platinum not Crystalite. It will have a somewhat new storyline that revolves around Shinnoh in an "Ice Age" and Giratina.
There is only going to release one, which is Pokemon Platinum, I'm gonna get it, and I'm not transfering my old pokemon from Pearl, the whole experince of the game is getting one pokemon, training it, catching other pokemon and trainnig them, that's the only way to have fun with the game.

I don't think you can transfer pokemon from pearl to Patinum. You can trade them but that's a more tedious process.
