im trying to get a good Buizel but the ones i've caught have a gentle and lonely nature. is lowered physical defense necessarily a bad thing. what if the special defense is high will that make up for low defense

I don't know much about it, but couldn't you try to breed a Buizel with the stats you want?

It depends on what you want your FLoatzel to do once it evolves. If you dont plan on playing online it really doesn't matter. But if you plan on playing online... then it still really doesn't matter for Buizel nor Floatzel, They are not Defenisve Pokemon... What you really want is one who is strong in attack or speed... So he can kill before he is killed.

If you're playing competitive go for an adamant or jolly nature. Otherwise you can basically just ignore that feature.

If you are going competitive there are even more things to worry about than nature, such as your IV's and egg moves... If you get desperate for an adamant you can always breed for one by suing a female Buizel and a male that is in the same egg group or ditto that is adamant natured with a everstone equipped... but this stuff isn't important unless you are OCD like me...
