Pokemon X/Y or Omega Ruby/Sapphire??

Which do you think is the better choice for a relative newcomer to the series?

Either one will work. The story and game is pretty much the same on both versions. The main difference is the Pokemon you will be able to catch in each game. Thats why you need both copies or a friend who has the other version just to get all the Pokemon.

Both are pretty much on par with each other, but ORAS has a bit more content in terms of post-game and mega evolutions.
