Rock Band for Wii is not worth it, in my opinion. I will just wait for Guitar Hero 4.
I am not really a Guitar Hero fanboy, but I have already bought two guitars for the GH3 and do not want to shell out to buy another set of 'band-equipment' for another game. Granted, when GH4 comes out I will need to buy the set, but atleast I will have already have the second guitar, granted 1 extra unless I can buy the drums/mic seperate.
I think GH4 looks promising enough to wait, but at this point, Rock Band Wii is complete underrated and a some corporate desire to bring in a couple extra bucks without providing enough of the same expierence. ie: Look at the differences between 360 Rock Band and Wii Rock Band, despite the Wii's lack of capabilities in some areas. Seems developers didn't even try to take advantage of the Wii
I can see how people are waiting for guitar hero 4, but I'm getting Rock band because of the great songs on it. I mean, there are some of my favorite songs on there that I cannot wait to play.yankeedog009
But will you be willing to shell out another 200$ for GH4 for a bunch of other songs you will like...

I might not buy it... I've seen the vids for it and the game just looks weird with the circles for the notes... also, what songs will it have? I mean Harmonix has MTV which gets them tons of good songs... and I'm sure it'll have DLC at some point...[QUOTE="Jazunn"][QUOTE="yankeedog009"]I can see how people are waiting for guitar hero 4, but I'm getting Rock band because of the great songs on it. because Activision likes to suck money out of customers.. almost as hard as Sony..yes
1. Birthday gift
2. Activision refund
IcE-Fu-
Are you sure you are up to speed on that Activision refund?
And no, Rock Band Wii is garbage. No online, crappy peripherals, and confirmed several 'track pack discs' coming in the furture instead of dlc.
I'm definately getting rock band, but not for the wii. We love our wii but they are really screwing up this DLC thing with this and guitar hero 3. I'm buying either a ps3 or 360 just for these games. Wake up Nintendo and figure out how inportant DLC is.pdkkbarnes1
Dlc is confirmed for GH4 on the Wii. MTV Games was given the option to put dlc in Rock Band Wii, but turned it down.
Let's see. Am I getting Rock Band? Let's consider the facts.
1. Guitar Hero 3 Controller can't be used.
2. no DLC
3. no online of any kind
4. $170
5. A cheap PS2 port, in which even the PS2 version was, according to Gamespot's review, given the STRIPPED demerit for being described as incomplete.
Going back to the question above...
no....dont really get into those games. because i just stink at them...great idea but not for me.Jesteroflies
I practically sucked at GH3, all my friends were on the hard difficulty while I couldn't beat a song on easy, after 2 weeks of intense training I became way better than my friends andwas able to do most songs on expert while they were still were on hard.
Just give it a shot.
It's a waste of money to get Rock Band when Guitar Hero will do everything, only better.
Well, I don't want to eat my words here, so let's just wait until reviews start showing up.
i know im definately not. reasons
1. going to cost a heap
2. GH4 around the corner and it will pwn its ***
3. seeing how the other versions of RB arent even out in australia yet we might get the wii version when RB 2 comes out if ever
4. GH4 will dominate it in every single possible way
