How many of you had broken drum kits right out of the box. This includes major sensitivity issues or the kit just being screwed.

I know I did. I bought the Wii version of GHWT and found that the drums only responded for about ten seconds before they just didn't respond all together. I know its not normal because I exchanged it for a PS3 version (my friend wants to buy one so I used my Toys r' Us discount for him) which worked fine. It sucks because I had to repack two GHWT bundles.

Anyway, let's hear some of your stories.

Mine works like a charm, and me and my friends love it.  Could use a little more tuning on the red pad, but it has been playable to the point me and another have been able to jam on hard difficulty with them. :)

If the drums had malfunctioned, then that would not have been such a great experience for me.  I found out that because I was the only person to reserve the Wii Bundle at my local GameCrazy, they only received one bundle for the Wii version in, and I would have had to take it up with Red Octane...

No, but I did get a faulty GHWT guitar, one which would only register up-strums, not down-strums.

Yeah, I joked to myself when I got it that it'd have been perfect for that one Rock Band achievement where you get 100% on a bass guitar song using only up-strums.

I'm betting I could get that achievement with ease, seeing how I played with a worn strum bar at my local GameCrazy and successfully completed Hot For Teacher on expert with mainly up-strums.(on lead)  But back on topic...

Did you contact Red Octane about this or did you just exchange it at the store?

I did.  It worked fine for a while, and then the red pad wouldn't work unless you hit it abnormally hard.  Now it doesn't work at all.  The EB Games where I bought it doesn't have any in stock for exchange, so I'm sending it back to RedOctane.

Yes I got one. Bought on 19th Dec, open on 25th Dec, not working 26th Dec. Red pad not registering any strick. Not happy as I paid good money for it. What should I do. Do I take it back or send it for repair/replace. Anyone know how long it would take to fix.

only thing i can mention is that the touch strip on the guitar registers randomly so it makes me end streaks, but i just turn it off cant be bothered taking it in.as for the drums mines fine, just need to change the sensitivity which you get off the red octane site for free when claimed within 3 months of purchase, they send you out a midi cable for free which takes about 2 weeks to deliver. besides the faulty touch strip my set was perfectly fine thankfully :)

Someone on the tennis team at my school had the same problem, but it was for Rock Band. I personally think that unless you play an actual bass guitar, up-strumming will take a while to get used to. When I played Guitar Hero, I felt better down-strumming although I am a bass guitarist.
