Why the crap would that year be the Wii's best year?

I'm gonna have to go with 2010. The Wii only had like two monthos in 2006, it did pretty good in 2007 but not as good as this year, 2008 was all right, and I think in 2009 the Wii struggled and it really showed how much it struggled in the 3rd party area that year.

2010 was the Wiis best year by far.

2006 - Launch. It was new and exciting, and still had promise. Not that there weren't some great games later on, it just lost its magic and didn't perform for me well enough over all.

I think 2010 was Wii's best year.

It's right before Nintendo pulled it's support from the console so it's considered the "good old days" but it's also when Wii Fit came out and that piece of software besides being the best selling piece of software the Wii has (that doesn't come with a controller or a console) has been the thing to keep the Wii afloat so long.

2010 was actually one of the weaker years in the Wii's lifespan so far

I was listing games that made each year for me personally and I found De Blob to offer me a lot more fun than Mario kart Wii

2006 had Zelda TP

2007 had SMG, RE4, MP3, Super paper mario, Fire Emblem:RD, etc.

2008 had Brawl and Okami

2009 had NSMB Wii, Muramasa and Little's king story

2010 had MH3, SMG2, S&P2, DKCR, Cave story, etc.

Wii years from best to worst(IMO): 2007, 2010, 2008, 2009, 2006...

Considering the Wii was released in November of 2006, I don't think it's fair to rank 2009 where Nintendo had a whole year to release good games wheres in 2006 they had 2.

While 2007 was great, 2010 was the year of redemption and full on explosion.

Seeming as I have Roughly 3 games for the Wii (Not including Wii Fit/Plus and the disk you get with a new console) Which are Super Smash Brothers, Endless Ocean 2 and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, the game i've enjoyed the most is Endless Ocean 2 which came out this year so 2010 for me.

2007 and 2010 are really close. The difference is that in 2007 the games were even more creative than in 2010. We had the first Galaxy and while Galaxy 2 is better, it wouldn't have been possible without the first. In 2010 the games were more refined and thus more fun.

Then of course Super Paper Mario mixed things up nicely. You had re-releases like RE4 that worked even better with Wii remote controls. Creative games like Zack and Wiki popped up. While I wasn't a fan of Metroid Prime 3, it also at least showed a working FPS on the Wii. 2006 was sort of whatever. Zelda held the line-up and Trauma Center was really fun, but it isn't really worth much beyond that.

2008 was kind of weak. No More Heroes took my Game of the Year at the time, but the games for the system were all packed in the first few months, by year's end I think people were starved. 2009 was really weak. Nintendo's best game was Punch-Out!! by far, though Mario and Excitebots were good too. 2010 had the system perform nicely, but mainly by first party content. I would really like to see a significant more amount of Wii third party games that can come close to the level of Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda, etc. There are some great third party games (like No More Heroes and MadWorld) but I'd like to see some more along those lines grabbing some attention in 2011.
