Poll: Which Wii E3 Game Impressed You The Most?

Nintendo pulled out the big guns today. Which one impressed you the most?

For me, it would be Super Mario Galaxy 2. Don't get me wrong--Metroid looks mind-blowing. But I had no idea what was going on during thatwhole trailer. Is it 2.5D? Is it a 3rd Person action game? Is it a first person shooter? I'm just not sure what to expect (besides, most likely, supreme awsomeness). Love the story though!

Anyway, as a person who was totally opposed to the idea of Super Mario Galaxy 2 prior to E3, I walked away really impressed. It looks like a perfect sequel to an already perfect game. The puzzles are deeper and more interesting, the levels are even more crazy, and there's Yoshi. How can it be bad?

The game I was least impressed with, surprisingly, was New Super Mario Bros. Wii. This was the game I was most excited about, but the lack of online is a bit lame, and it doesn't sound like there's much of an emphasis on Single Player. However, the focus is local multiplayer, and it sounds like the game really delivers in that department. Believe me, I'm excited for it; I'm just not blown away.

Metroid: Other M.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is going to be fantastic, and I am pretty sure it will sit right beside the original as one of the best games of the platform but it was not as impressive as the new take on the Metroid series.

That's a really tough decision. All of them look absolutely amazing.... and the more footage I see of New Super Mario Bros, the more excited I get. But I chose Metroid because it looks like an incredibly impressive piece of software that has amazing potential. It's one of those ideas that fans have but know will never actually happen... but it happened. That's impressive.

Might actually be Wiisports. Don't get me wrong, I am more excited to get and playMario Galaxy 2 and Metroid, but I wouldn't even have had to see a video or picture of them for me to decide that. The Wii sports demonstration impressed me enough to actually want to buy the game, which I had no interest in getting before.

Definitely Metroid Other M. I am also impressed with Monado Beginning of the World and Super Mario Galaxy.

Silent Hill Shattered Memories easily takes the cake. This game has been blowing my mind since it was announcedsnowman6251

Metroid. I've been a fan of that series since the release of Super Metroid.

Metroid Other M

Metroid: Other M impressed me the most

I never played any of the Ninja Gaiden games (No idea how I managed to miss them) so I wasn't too hyped for this at first... then I looked at the developers track record and looked at how well their games were recieved... I must admit I am very excited for the game now :D

I've always wanted Super Mario Galaxy to have Yoshi, so I was pissing-my-pants-exited to see Yoshi show up. This sequel looks like it more than doubles the imagination put into the first game.

My pick goes to Metroid Other M since I did not expect it in the slightest. I also have been craving a Ninja Gaiden/ God of War experience for a while now. Not to mention that this game seems to capture what made Super Metroid so awesome! The dash attack RETURNS!!!!! EPIC WIN!!!

Am I the only one worried about Metroid? What happened to exploration? If it's going to be more of a shoot 'em up than the incredibly atmospheric, mysterious Metroid I'm used to and love, I will be very dissapointed.

Reggie said that Galaxy was aimed at the hardcore audience--the longtime Mario fans. He said was it a bit more challenging than Galaxy 1. This just made me even MORE excited!

And has anyone watched the off screen camera footage for New Super Mario Bros? It's looking pretty sweet. I regret momentarily losing faith in it.

Seriously, you bring up a good point. But Nintendo knows what they're doing. I'm sure it will all work out fine.

Exactly, i'm so excited about this new game, i mean, it looks awesome, with a lot of action and story, oh boy, even SMG2 isn't rival for this IMO.

The Metroid game was cool. Golden Sun DS too but I don't have a DS....

Definitely the new Silent Hill. So psyched for that one.

But of the choices, Metroid in a walk. Was definitely not expecting that one, especially not a collaboration between Team Ninja of all studios and Nintendo.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I like SMG a lot, but I love the idea of that classic Mario feel on a Nintendo console. I grew up with that stuff, so something that mirrors it will be just dandy with me. Hopefully it does not disappoint!

I voted for Super Mario Galaxy 2, because right now it looks like the best game coming to Wii. However, Wii Sports Resort and Red Steel 2 both really surprised me, since I wasn't that excited about either one until they were shown.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 finally a second 3D platform game for Mario on a Nintendo console but Metroid: Other M was brilliant to but Mario Galaxy 2 its just a sequel to the best game on the Wii. I have high hopes for it.

The most impressing to me was definately Metroid: Other M. I didn't see that one coming at all. In fact, I don't remember anything on this board that was hyping a new Metroid game, except for the Metroid Prime Trilogy pack.

The new Mario games look awesome. I can't wait to team up with Yoshi once again.
