Who in their right mind thought it was a great idea to offer all of these games for download, but no way to demo them?   I don't get how a picture of a game, and a description is enough to entice me to buy a game that I've never played.  Especially for the prices they are charging?   Anyone at Nintendo awake?

Think of it this way, if I have 8 bucks to spend on an arcade style game, and I am looking at my Wii and 360, my 360 is much more likely to get that 8 bucks because they gave me a taste of what I can expect when I download the full version.

With the Wii, it's like getting a cardboard box wrapped in tape, with the promise that there is a music player inside.  What is it?  A cd player?  An 8 track?  I dunno....let me open it up and.......DOH   it's an 8 track.  Now I feel burned, now I'm not doing that again.  Get the picture Mario?

Oh well.

I cant believe it's not happening already. And I cant believe there's not Demo disc at Gamestop featuring more than one game at a time yet.

You do know these games have reviews and such that tell you what they are like. Most of the VC games are game most of us have played and know what we are in for.

Yes, I very well am aware of that. So, let's make this simple.... I tell my buddy about Gunstar Heroes, its a great game! He doesn't quite remember it, the picture isn't ringing a bell for him. Him and I have similar game tastes, but do disagree alot on what we think makes a great game. He's on the ropes, cause we have recommended stuff to eachother, and it's hit and miss sometimes. So, he can't quite make up his mind, although he knows I really like it, and it is a classic, but he just doesn't know how it's gonna play. Is it his style? Is it a kind of game he's into? Oops....he plays it safe and doesn't bother at all. Don't you think a sale would be much more likely if even they gave a teensy weensy bit of the game to bait him in?

I have an idea. Like the 1st or 2nd day they are released, but for only like 1 or 2 days, you can demo the new releases, but after that you can't. That might be a good idea, the demo's expire like after 1 hour as well. That would be a neat idea.

NO WAY come on guys don't be rediculas, that would be asking too much. Firstly at least 60% of VC games sold are to people who have all ready played the game and want to play it again for old time sake, giving a free demo would let people remember and have a quick go and be damaging to the sales. Secondly people who see how most old games aren't quite as good as you remember and thirdly the games are put on 3 a week so nintendo would have to slow down to organise, make and upload 3 demo's a week as well. There only cheap, watch some videos, read some reviews, ask on forums etc.

Not only for the Wii, demo's for the DS that you could send to it. Now that would be sweet.

I'd like to see them release more compilation discs. Kindof like the Zelda Collector's Edition.

Charge $30 or so and include SMB1, SMB2, SMB3, SMW and SM64 or something like that. Super Mario Collector's Edition. Or charge $50 and include the other SMW and the Gameboy games. Who WOULDN'T buy that, right? Plus, you get to keep it forever... no guarantee that when you keep whatever you can't fit in your 512mb and keep the rest on their network, that what's on the network will  be there forever, right?

Man thats a good idea, for us who have been playing games for 15+ years, for the most part, we know what we are getting, but there are games out there that we missed or flat out didn't seem interested at the time, so demos would be a great idea

How the hell is it randomly, you get 2 screen shots and information about the game. Your told which year it came out on which platform. A part from that just 5 minutes research on websites or forums you'll get an idea of what the games like. People are asking too much and need to back off Nintendo in more then just this area.

I think it would be great for the consumer but not so great for sales.  I've bought quite a few games that if I had played a demo first I wouldn't have bought them.  I haven't seen any where a demo would have secured my purchase. If a game that I've never played before interests me I read up on it online and make my decision from there.  I accept that sometimes it's a hit and miss so I have no regrets.  The games are cheap so I'm fine with it.

Heh... then you could already ask a demo for Far Cry, cuz every1 says it sucks, so I want a demo & try it out... see -.-
If videos & reviews aren't good inouf, then u should just download a rom & emulator for ur computer & play it for an hr or so. If you do not already own the game, just delete it in the next 24h & everything is legal :D well thats what I'v heard
