I want a Strategy RPG with cel-shaded graphics similar to what you would find in Valkyria Chronicles.
By the way, I see you're a new user, welcome to Gamespot, dude!
I want something similar to the Subspace Emissary from Brawl. I bunch of nintendo characters coming together in one game in a kickass co-op 3d game with an awesome story. Anyone agree?

Sorry, I hated the Subspace Emissary.:( I felt that this was the weakest part (along with online) of the game. Frankly, I liked what you did in the original Smash Bros. where you fight the Nintendo characters and then beat Master Hand and get back to where the focus of the game is supposed to be, the multiplayer.
misleading title is misleading

Ya, knowing how the average Gamespot user likes to confuse me (EVERYONE IS AGAINST ME!!!!) I figured this is what it was, but I still had that hope that it was a newly announced game.misleading title is misleading

No idea, Nintendo always comes up with such unique ideas for new IPs. Just look at Captain Rainbow, who'd have expected that?
Oh, I hope it's another simple turn-based RPG like Earthbound was. except it would be nice if they released all of the games in NA this time.

I love that game :P.
Me too, man. I only played it once at my friends house, and I was completely hooked on it. It's probably the only reason I want a PS3.

I definately agree.
It shouldn't be one set in the past either, it should be in a unique setting, like Earthbound.

Valkyria Chronicles is also the only reason i want a ps3 except for maybe Demon's Souls. and possibly Heavy Rain.

Valkryria Chronicles is only one of the many reasons I want a PS3, but I won't go into that. This is afterall, the Wii Forum :P.

You just reminded me of an idea I had for a new IP (what does that even stand for? :?). It would be set in the world of Super Smash Brothers, but use the unique characters. It could go more in-depth with Subspace. Bringing in old Nintendo characters may work, but I would prefer a whole new story in the same world. Leave the Nintendo collaborations to SSB.
As for completely unique IPs, maybe something set in the modern world? It seems that Nintendo games are either set in the far past (Zelda, Fire Emblem (Mario?)) or the far future (Metroid, F-Zero, Star Fox (Kirby? Pokemon?)). I would still like to see fantasy/sci-fi elements in the games, though. It seems that the closest Nintendo has gotten to a modern setting is the Mother series, and it's pretty much dead (although a revival wouldn't hurt).

Indeed. Something like Nintendo Kingdom Hearts.
Oh, and enemies from more games than Mario.
uuuh... fire emblem? >.> i'm not sure there's something nintendo doesnt have already covered. and i cant think of any new series that would look like something nintendo would've made. that's their job :PI want a Strategy RPG with cel-shaded graphics similar to what you would find in Valkyria Chronicles.

nintendo needs a mature title, personally. Alot of developers have no problem shipping out both family friendly games and mature titles, but nintendo seems to only focus on family friendly. I want to see nintendo do something scary, it doesnt necessarily have to be gorey, but I want to see nintendo let loose with violence and terror and see what they can do. they've proven that they can do creepy with legend of zelda (OoT and twilight Princess had some really creepy moments) I want to see what they can do when they really want to strike fear into a player, and with the pulse senor thing, it seems like they might be preparing for it already. garrett_duffmanBTW, who owns the rights for eternal darkness: nintendo or silicon knights? 'cause ED is the perfect game for that sensor...

In my opinion, the M rating is overrated. ESRB rating should only be used to keep little kids away from violent games and not be treated as genre.

I dont know if you realized this, but i provided a description of the M-rated title that I would like to see, which in some cases, could be deemed a "genre". I've also never seen an E-rated horror game other than monster house[QUOTE="randomwiiplayer"]

Yup. I've seen Link kill a goomba now I want to see Mario kill a bulbin,or have the halbird shoot down an arwing.
It would be sweet if they took Earthbound to full 3-D on the Wii and kept it as a urn-based RPG. Actually I wouldn't mind a real time RPG (perhaps with co-op play), but at the risk of ruining the series, it would be safest to keep it turn based. Either way Earthbound in any form on the Wii would be amazing.Oh, I hope it's another simple turn-based RPG like Earthbound was. except it would be nice if they released all of the games in NA this time.

It stands for Intellectual Property.
I would like to see Nintendo finish Pikmin 3 first... They announced a few E3s ago and we still haven't seen one screenshot...
But for new IPs: I'd like to see something real nintendo-like, something new, fresh, like pikmin on the GC.

Its not that everyone forgot, its that nobody is interested until some footage or a screenshot is shown. You can't just expect a game to be hyped if there was no awesome footage.

Besides the first 2 Pikmin were 2 of the best games on GC so people should be hyped.

I've said it before, but I like to see an official Captain N game in an epic RPG Adventure with various Nintendo & select 3rd party characters & places. It'll be similar to Kingdom Hearts, but not quite as sappy.

The clues that I mentioned have something to do with the storyline, that is why people are hyped. It is based on the same thing, but the way they put it together each game is epic in its own way.

no. players started to assume that concept art was important. started with the whole "master sword girl" just because myiamoto said "pay attention: link's not holding a sword". it could mean the girl's a sword as much as it could mean link will fight barehanded. just wait for something more than concept art before you ruin another game with hype. Please Log In to post.
