I doubt it. It's probably going to be good, but far from perfect. My guess is a 9.0 or 9.5.

Oh, and IMHO, there's a few Mario games that had horrible controls.

Galaxy definately looks to be as fresh as SM64 was. Super Mario Sunshine just lacked that .. something, but SMG has that something of a mario game.

Side note: MP3:C looks awesome graphically, and probably will play very well. however, SMG > MP3:C in visuals.

I believe both games will get a 9.5 or possibly a 9.0here and a 9 something over on IGN.

I don't think ANY wii game can ever get 10 on gamespot. Graphics whores defy logic and give 9.5/10 games 8.8/10.

Trust me it will happen, 8.5/10 for smash bros brawl (more of the same, probably unhappy about some online aspect), metroid prime 8/10 (no online) and galaxy 9/10 (no chainsaws or blood)

Colour me impressed if any wii game gets 10/10 on gamespot, ever.

8.5 for Smash because I just see it getting picked on for little things. It's just not the kind of game they give a great rating to. I see MP3 getting a 9.5, maybe a 9. GS has loved MP3 every time they play it, and they reviewed the previous titles even better. I see Galaxy getting a 9.5, and who knows, maybe a 10 with the new system. It just seems to have that air to it. I will be surprise if it gets below 9.5.

Btw, I don't think GS has anything against the Wii like other people. Sure, TP deserves a MUCH higher score, but the same is true for games for the PS3 and 360.

I honestly do see this game getting 9.5+. I'm getting that "it's gonna be epic!!" feeling i got with Twilight Princess so it's gotta happen! off topic: MP3 just LOOKS more realistic as opposed to Galaxy's cartooniness (cartooniness? anyway...) but I think Galaxy looks better for what it is...idkZumaJones07

if there is a way to turn off assist trophies and final smash then super smash will be incredible. with four different ways of control, some great looking characters (the best yet to be revealed i assume) and the sickest stages i've ever seen (the lylat cruiser? ridiculous.) there is no way there going to give it a lower score than they gave ssbm. i just don't see that happening. i predicted that kind of thing for twilight princess, but not this game.

anyway, my prediction for smg is a 9.4. it looks fantastic.

Gotta agree with duckman. Galaxy def takes the graphics trophy home. Way better than Prime's. Prime will be amazing though.

What the heck are you talking about? Galaxy will have the best graphics of any Wii game to date when it comes out.

Who cares about gamespot. IGN has superb reviews in comparison. If you only go by one.

The game's aren't rated in graphics and stuff like that. It's just the reviewer's opinion. They could give any game any rating and it would have to be accepted.nintendofreak_2

lol.lol. anyway I think MP3 has better graphics, but requires a specific taste in gaming, so it will get a lower score than Mario.

if you notice, back when mario sunshine came out, on ign, it got a 9.4! which is riddiculas for what i consider to be the worst mario platformer,(which is still pretty good) and galaxy seems like it will be infinatley better than sunshine, so i really can see it getting a perfect 10, and it would be more likley on game spot, with the new system of rating and all, also, i think everyone can agree that this game will get a ten in graphics ( cause no wii game comes close to looking as good) and controls ( cause its mario and always has the best controls) yet i dont see anyone else who believes it can score that well, yet i can totally invision it, does anyone else agree?walkerctranger

Gaespot either way overates a game or way underates a game.And in the case of the Wii its always going to be the latter.So no Wii game will get AAA from gamespot.

I think MP3 and Galaxy will get 9.5, and Brawl 8.5-9.5.

The chances of Galaxy getting a 10(or any other game) are slim, and I really doubt we will ever see another 10 game.

• Artificial intelligence tends to be either too easy, or overly cheap
• Tackle function can be a bit overpowered
• Somewhat bland presentation.

all of these "negatives" are either completly biased, or just nitpicking nonsense...

1 gameplay can get overly chaotic: chaotic gameplay is one of the things that made the original strikers great! i dont think its fair to list this as a negative, since there is a good chance that alot of gamers enjoy chaotic gameplay.

2 artificial intelligence tends to be either easy, or overly cheap: once again this is meaningless to me... this should only have been a negative if it was easy OR overly cheap. not both, that statement says to me that the computer AI ranges from easy to overly cheap, that would be a positive to me because it says that the computer doesnt always play the same way... making the gameplay more varied and forcing you to be more inventive in your tactics.

3. tackle function can be a bit overpowered: you may notice that i emphasized "a bit" this is wishy washy nit-picking. either it is overpowered or it isnt, and if your listing it as a negative you should be a bit more sure of yourself before you put it in a review.

4. somewhat bland presentation: once again really wishy washy... and besides that i have no idea what they're talking about on this one... i have the game and i personally thought that the presentation was excellent. bland is not a word i ever would have come up with while looking at any aspect of this game...saying that the presentation is "somewhat bland" and including it in a reviews as a negative is like saying "it could be better" and listing it as a negative.... OF COURSE IT COULD BE BETTER THINGS CAN ALWAYS GET BETTER!!! not a real negative the menues move fast, and everything feels really energized... charged if you will excuse the horrible pun...

in conclusion i think its been made decently clear that gamespot doesnt really have alot of respect for the wii as a console... it seems like they always find reasons to rate the games down. and i have a feeling that this isnt going to stop anytime soon. i hope it will, but im not going to hold my breath....
