Starting Super Mario World for the first time was pretty cool.

Out of all the Wii games I own, Animal Crossing City Folk. "Why", you may ask? Well, 'cause the music is just so soothing and relaxing. I swear, I felt like I was in heaven the first time I heard that tune on Christmas morning. Such an awesome memory.:)

I'd probably go with Mass Effect or The Wind Waker.

Also I'd say Metroid Prime Hunters. The only full CG opeing cutscene in any Metroid game. Saweet.....

Super Mario Galaxy its opening is amazing.

I always liked all the Super Smash Bros sequences. especially the first and the brawl ones. they are pretty awsome.

and the mario kart double dash sequence

and the guitar hero 5. i just like the art style and animation a lot.

Twilight Princess and Metriod Prime gave me Chills. I love their openings.

Definitely Super Metroid's opening and it's main theme music!

When I heard the light piano accompaniment at the end of Other M's trailer...it reminded meso much of the 1994 theme at Super Metroid's title screen.

Also (just a little off topic), Super Metroid had the best first level ever! I remember when I first saw Ridley on that first level and how bad ass Ridley's theme song was, then having to escape that space station while the screen tilted from side to side--that was so original back then!

Sonic unleashed and Prototype, idk why im posting on a wii thread since both of these arn't really on the wii.

Little confused here, was this suppose to just be Wii games? and was it suppose to be the first cinema scene or the first gameplay sequence. I will stick to the Wii and I will go with the first gameplay sequence. My choice would be Mario Galaxy and Corruption, both had epic opening sequences. Sepewrath

If we're talking Wii only games than I have to go with No More Heroes. Travis narrating everything about The Drifter, the DeathMatch Bar, Sylvia ;), and how we're all in the ride just to see how it's going to end is spectacular!

HOWEVER, for the all-time greatest game opening I have to give it to Quake II for the PC. That opening rocked harder than any in gaming. Ever. Period.

Surprisingly easy for me. Mario Galaxy, TP, Okami.

Not many Wii games stand out to me. If this was all time, then there's A LOT. Need for Speed Underground, Onimusha 3, Soul Calibur 2...

I could go on, but these are some of my favorites. I like Wind Waker opening sequence, especially when the violin kicks in with the Zelda theme music.

Just remembered Naruto:CoNR2 , great anime opening scene.

I really can't pick a favorite, too many to pick from. However, I picked up megaman zx advent for the DS not too long ago and the opening sequenses blew my mind for a DS game, eaisly the best opening sequenses for the console that I have seen.

Twilight Princess has the best Wii intro.

As for non-Wii games I would have to say the Secret of Mana opening.

Brawls was pretty cool i think.

Can't remember it to well though.
