what ever you put down like five dollars or pay it off you just go to the store when it come out that date has been released and you showed them your receipt which game you bought.
It's like Luminouslight said, if you pre order it online, you have it shipped to your address, if you pre order it at the store, then you have to go to the store and pick it up.

before you all ask if i've lived in a cave for the last decade, i haven't preordered a game since the N64 days. I think the last game I preordered was Majoras Mask in 2000.
Preordering online, for most games at GameStop and EB Games means that you pay full price, including shipping, up front, then the game is shipped to you when it is released.
