sorr y for grammar.         along w/ freinds, we r playing alternatly; geist, redsteel ,geist redsteel, and halo 1 every now and then.

geist we find awesome with 4 humans plus 4 bots, possession allows for balanced weapons...no more collectng weapons..just grab a body w/ weapon....shoot ppl up..n' eject when ammo runs out..or before dying, eject, lose the body to bullets..lose a point but quickly possess another guy or explosive n' blow up attacker in revenge....chaotic fun.  redsteel very precise, responsive w/ 4 humans....fun..no complaints...we play halo regularly..even played in online tournamnets...so we have an orientation in terms of good fps...but why r ppl criticizing redsteel n' geist? they're the two best nintendo console fps ever.....whats up?

There are better fps games out there on other consoles. So when we get stuck with something that's not as good as Halo for instance people get mad and start trashing games. I'm sure that red steel and geist are good games, but in comparison to some of the other shooters they don't really stand a chance.

look at here, im voicing my opinion and that of wat my freinds have observed suggested.  its not just me, a few other ppl also agree from other site, u may not ,so go ahead i shall listen to ur opinion...we can have a freindly/mature debate if necessary, i still respect other fps, some may be slightly better....but my main point here is why geist is being bashed soo much despite the fact that it does soo much good.

.soo mayb redsteel just has its precise control and thats it..but geist?

c'mon variety of multiplayer levels, weapons, bot amounts/ difficulty levels, great control...the option to swap analog stick function for left handed players like myself....thats rare!

now gameplay wise.....we think its innovative, b/c consider this typical scenario n how it is solved by geist:

typical example/scenario:

player 1 and player 2 engage in shootout.  player one is severly wounded/dmaged, and player 2 dies.  player 2 is respawned with full health and when he meets player 1, he has full health and will more likely kill player one.  obviously if both players have at least some skill or luck, player 1 will do at least a bit of damage to player two..so when player one dies and respawns, he will have more health than player 2 and obviously will win next round.  cycle continues until time runs out or someone reaches specific number of points.

in geist however,

player one and player 2 engage in shootout.  player one is damaged severyly, player 2 dies.  player one can eject out of his body and find new body with full health. and they r even.  is this cheap? not really, player 2 can come in and get a free kill by killing the vulnerable host while player one is in new host.   also, player one could be damaged and is out of ammo, so obviously..his faith is a defenseless death and p2 will score a point either way if player one jects or not...but if player one ejects, he can posses some1 behind player 2 and turn the tables...if player one is fast enough, he can deliver a head shot to player 2 before player 2 kills vulnerable player 1 host. or player one could eject and possess an explosive crate n' blow it up in player 2's face..thus btoh gain point.

typical game/scenario:

game starts, all players scramble to find the best weapons, and find/ collect a full inventory....and stack up on lots of ammo.... waste of time. eventually the two meet.  soo many guns...eachone thinks of which one to use..but they die ...and then have to recollect all those items, ammo..and waste more time

geist:  find / pick any host, jump in /possess...go shoot.  u run out of ammo, eject find new host.  u die, no biggy, one point to other player, and ur already with a new host, ready to get revenge...quick time..no time wasted collecting ammo.

typical game scenario:  there's always one gun / weapon that dominates all others:

goldeneye / 007: golden gun,  halo: sniper rifle, timesplitters: soviet w/ rapid fire grenades. etc.

geist: all weapons r equally balanced.  machine gun is weak but fires soo fast ..that if u aim right ur target dies fast. shotgun, if u shoot normally, it does dmage...u use second function, u waste a whole clip in one shot or half ur rounds...but it deals massive damage, but if u miss, u lose precious time reloading.  assault rifle sure it has grenades..but u fire a grenade...ur player automatically reloads - it takes time and ur definately getting shot b4 u finish reloading...unlike timesplitters when u can keep shooting up to 10 consecutiive grenades..

soo DOESN'T GEIST REVOLUTIONIZE SOME OF THOSE TEDIOUS/ANNOYING/CHEAP ASPECTS OF COMMON FPS GAMES?

-btw, sorry about some spelling/gramm..but u know ..these are just forums..n' when ur on a roll....u just write wat u think....checking spelling kinda stops ur thinking lol....anyways....about my points above....can some of u guys agree?

Once again I did state that I am sure they are good games. I've only played Red steel and it was way too glitchy and not at all what I expected so I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. As for my friend who played it with me, he loved it and bought a wii because of it. Everyone has different opinions.
I'm simply saying that a revoutionary game such as Gears of War or Halo, which is said to be absolutely flawless by anyone that is into that kind of stuff is kind of a kick in the nuts when we get an fps that only a handful of people can get into.
And again I'm not dissagreeing with you and saying those games are bad, I'm simply answering your question. Personally I hate Halo, I don't like it at all. And I could be killed for saying that.

yep, its ur opinion..true enough..i agree with ur points there too.  i just find i hard to believe that in the case of geist for ex, something new comes out...some1 bashes something about it...and next thing u know..everyone's jumpin on the bash-geist bandwagon...n' thats wat im curious about....is it band wagon jumping.....or wat.....its gone to the point where some1 who does like the game and is considering getting it.....is being told otherwise..by a large  bandwagon of ppl flat out determined that hell b sorry...

You make geist sound really fun, I want to play it! A lot of games are hidden gems and are overlooked but you can make the game fun by exploiting different features. Take NBA courtside 2002, not a whole lot of people bought this game yet it was wacky, had good production quality, and not just another port. Monkeyball too, simple fun. I thought Agent under Fire was another good game as well.

Thx for understanding anyways I just won a copy of FarCry for the wii off Ebay for really cheap... Thus proving that I'm willing to give any game a chance since 90% of people bash this game. I hear if you can get over the graphics it can be pretty fun and for cheap and a fan of farcry its a winwin for me.
Also based on what you've said I'd like to give giest a try too, I've been meaning to rent it simply b/c those people who have played it like it A LOT.

I hate Halo also. Most overrated game EVER. And I agree on Red Steel too... very glitchy and not at all what I was hoping for.
