Are these games canceled or what? Does anyone have any new info on either of these games?

Sadness I have no idea.
HAMMER was officially "put on hold", meaning that there's a small chance it may come out, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Sadness is up in the air for me. I've seen some new screens and a video come out over the past year, but that was somewhere around the summer. Nibris has said that they have planned on showing up for gaming conventions, but they never have.
I asked the same question about Sadness a few months ago. The team is still working on it but the team is pretty small. They should be in a position to show something towards the end of this year and I believe they are almost 90% done. Their website says they'll be able to deliver Fall 2009 so we'll see when that time comes. Let's just hope it's a pretty long game with the amount of time they've been working on it. Nintendo is publishing it so they just need to finish it off. Project Hammer has been officially cancelled. It was put on hold but I checked IGN and they said it was then flat-out cancelled. It was a nice concept and it looked good too.
Nibris has been saying that they were going to do this and they were going to do that, since 2006 and they've done nothing, unless they surprisingly show up at E3 or something, I'll stand by the the understanding that this vaporware. When was the last time they updated their site?I asked the same question about Sadness a few months ago. The team is still working on it but the team is pretty small.
