Are these games canceled or what? Does anyone have any new info on either of these games?

Project H.A.M.M.E.R. was put on hold so more developers could work on Disaster day of crisis, Some of the developers working on it confirmed that they went back to work on it.

Sadness I have no idea.

HAMMER was officially "put on hold", meaning that there's a small chance it may come out, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Sadness is up in the air for me. I've seen some new screens and a video come out over the past year, but that was somewhere around the summer. Nibris has said that they have planned on showing up for gaming conventions, but they never have.

I remember they announced these games around the time the Wii came out, but why such the long wait

Sadness is about as vaporware as DNF. Hell that at least put out a trailer.

Sadness is non-existant, I don't know if Nibris couldn't find a publisher or the game was to big for them, but I think its safe to assume that it never got far past those initial artworks and the trailer.

I asked the same question about Sadness a few months ago. The team is still working on it but the team is pretty small. They should be in a position to show something towards the end of this year and I believe they are almost 90% done. Their website says they'll be able to deliver Fall 2009 so we'll see when that time comes. Let's just hope it's a pretty long game with the amount of time they've been working on it. Nintendo is publishing it so they just need to finish it off. Project Hammer has been officially cancelled. It was put on hold but I checked IGN and they said it was then flat-out cancelled. It was a nice concept and it looked good too.

i wonder why IGN didn't go all out into finding some ground for sadness to flourish like they did with winter. that game is (or was) so promising.

Sadness is all over Nibris' site so hopefully they didn't cancel it and are to lazy to update their site because I've been waiting reallypatiantly for it

Nibris has been saying that they were going to do this and they were going to do that, since 2006 and they've done nothing, unless they surprisingly show up at E3 or something, I'll stand by the the understanding that this vaporware. When was the last time they updated their site?

Knowing that Nintendo has a new casual mini-game ethos I say Project Hammer has long since been moved to from on hold to cancelled, also Monolith made Disaster: Day of Crisis. They are a Japanese dev group, Project Hammer was made by an American dev group from Redmond WA, and so there is no connection between the two except that Nintendo is their boss. As for Sadness its pure vaporware and these guys at Nibris are as much a joke as those idiots at 3D Realms who can't make the ironically titled Duke Nukem Forever. Meaning you're survival horror needs are better meet waiting for Cursed Mountain and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, or hoping that Nintendo has change of heart and publishes Fatal Frame 4. Hell there is a better chance of a publisher picking up Winter because of an online petition, then of Sadness ever coming out.
