Glad to hear. Despite how repetitive the first game became in its later stages, I still found it to be a fun SRPG.
This looks crazy!
Me likey.
Once again you show you have no idea about games in general, do you even play them? Do you get beat up a lot so you're here to learn about them to fit in?
As for the game itself the first one was garbage and the follow up is simply going to focus on the characters, no story no gameplay, just a mediocre game that shouldn't have been made in the first place.
@Jaysonguy: I have actually never played or heard of the first game. I was referring to the craziness of all the characters on the cover. Its crazy to have that many different characters coming together. I liked the craziness of the ideal.
I'm stoked, loved the last game. Not sure how I feel about this yet, a lot of the line-up of the last game (notably the ones I came to like) are missing here. Then again, a lot of the characters I was unfamiliar with anyways and came to like, maybe it'll be the same here. Since Sega is sharing its characters for the game I wish that they'd at least include Bayonetta, maybe paired up with Jeanne, with maybe Rose or Odin for support. Or maybe since Atlus is under Sega it'd be nice to see maybe some of the Persona line-up in the game.
Anyhow, no Frank West, no Resonance of Fate characters (whatever their names were), I liked them. Maybe I'll come to like the next line-up.
Mainly what I'm hoping for in any sequel is more challenge. I felt the game didn't start getting challenging until toward the end. Still, I enjoyed the spectacle, it just be nice to have a more balance challenge throughout the game.
I am pleasantly surprised this rumour has in fact come true. The first title must have sold better in NA/EU than Japan as I recall it did not fare so well over there.
Upon doing a little research, I guess this announcement should not come as a great surprise, considering Namco expressed interest in a sequel late last year. The title also sold 10x better in the West than they expected, too.
