Players choice is made when the game reaches 1 milion (if I remember correctly) units sold and this is made 1-2 years after the release. Zelda: TP is probably going to be the first to have it.

The consequence is the price cut of the game.

The "I can't believe you all bought enough copies of Red Steel to make it a hit seller but since you did you can buy all of these other titles at lower prices too" tag.  It will probably be shortened to Player's Choice though since the full name won't fit on the label.
