Nah, you can screw up an action/adventure game really easy. Just look at Twilight Princess.
A puzzle game like Punch Out that has a really simple core is really hard to screw up

well its mb easier in action games because the graphics are important and u can easily screw them up. ur right when ur saying that a game LIKE punch out, which has a good gameplay concept cant be screwed up easily. but i think u can also screw up puzzle games, there are just arent that much of them anyways. What do you think?MARIO-FREAKO

It will remain to be seen whether it's good or not. I haven't heard of any new characters being introduced and from what little we've seen, it looks like a cell-shaded version of the original. So far we've seen Von Kaiser, King Hippo, and Glass Joe. If there have been any new revelations as far as a roster, I haven't seen them. That being said, I think Nintendo is wearing out the nostalgia factor.
I would much rather have seen a new Punch-Out with all new characters with maybe a few throwbacks like Bald Bull or having Glass Joe as your first opponent. Other than that, all new characters with new attacks would have been the better way to go in my opinion. Will I buy it? Well, that remains to be seen. If there's enough new content I will consider it, but if it's just a re-hashed version of the original then probably not.
[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="nomadph"] lol you're trying to get attention again eh?Davey_B
You're unaware that Punch Out is a puzzle game?
You're not familiar with the series?
Of course he's trying to get attention, when doesn't he try? That's his sole purpose in being here. Going by his "logic", and I use that term so loosely that it almost isn't even the same meaning of the word, one could call Contra or Super Mario Bros. a puzzle game. You see, he's calling it a puzzle game because you just memorize their attack patterns and counter them. Since they never deviate from their pattern it's obviously a puzzle, that once figured out, the same end result can be reproduced over and over again.
That said, one could say the same thing about Contra and Super Mario Bros. since their positions and attacks never change either. At the start of SMB, that same lonely goomba is going to come from the right side of the screen and in Contra that same alien is also going to come out with the same weapons pod flying overhead. Obviously they're both puzzle games too.
Oh wait...I forgot! In actual puzzle games, there's that element of randomness. Hence when I start Tetris Party I don't always get the same 2x2 block or the same "S" piece every time I start. Oh, how about when I start Lumines.....oh wait....there's that randomness thing again. Darn that pesky randomness.....I guess if I ever develop a true Jaysonguy puzzle game, I'll just make the patterns all the same so there's no incentive to go back and replay it once I beat it.
In essence, Jayson fails much like he always does and purports his opinions as fact in a pathetic attempt to garner attention....
I would argue that Punch Out is more of a rhythm game than it is a puzzle game.thats like saying action games are almost alawys awesome[QUOTE="ganga_"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]Puzzle games are almost always awesomeJaysonguy

They can easily screw it up if the controls are as bad as boxing in Wii Sports.Depends.. If the controls go further than what Wii Boxing gave us and isn't too chaotic, then is it's friggin awesome.
If they screw it up and make it all waggle.. Which I hopefully doubt.. but look at Mario Sluggers. Anyways, if they screw it up some how, then not.
I think it will be a well received game.. Since Miyamoto is supervising it.Â
