Question About Gifting A Game :D

I want to "gift" a friend a game from the virtual console. I just want to know how you go about doing this, just in case I get it wrong although I don't think its that hard. Also, how will my friend recieve it? Will she have to open up the wii shop channel or will it just add to her channels or/and will there be a message on the message board? If yes, what will it say?

You open up the Wii shop channel, pick something you want to give your friend, and then choose "Gift" instead of buying it. If you already own the software, you will still have to rebuy if you want to gift it to your friend.

When you press Gift, choose your friend and send it to them. If your friend is living in the same region as you (same country basically) and they are connected to the internet, they will receive a fancy letter in their Wii Message Board. They can open it up and accept your gift.

If they leave the message unattended or don't read it for a month, your Wii points will be returned and your friend won't be able to accept the gift after that, unless you resend it.

Can you add a personal message? and Does it say something along the lines of that its a present? and When it says who its from, does it say your wii console name or the name your friend added you as?

Personal message? I dont think so, but you can always use the Wii mailing function. I am not sure about what it says about the name of the sender.

Yes you can attach a personal message, the receiver goes into the Wii messages to read the message (it will look different from regular messages) and download the game.

Pretty simple.

Yeah. You just press gift on the game0 of your choice. You may attach a Mii and/or a personal message to the gift. If they leave the message containing the gift unattended for 45 days, the point value equivalent to the cost of the gift will be refunded to you in your wii shop channel account. If the user you are sending the gift to has a PIN enabled that blocks anyone using the wii to access the game without entering the correct PIN number, they will have to do so to access ownership of the gift.
