question about mario kart DS friends...

so i want to play with a friend of mine, and 2 other random people over wifi, is there any easy specific way to do this

we've exchanged friend codes obviously, and each put that lock on us in our friends roster to apparently increase chances of getting matched

so we tried a couple time to search rivals, regional and worldwide at the same time, but no luck getting matched up, and searching friends obviously just only searches for people on ur friends roster and not anywhere else,

any help?

I think when you try to hook up over the internet there is just a bit of luck with that. However wireless single card download playing the same house is always possible.
