Question about playing N64 games in the VC

Hellow.... my roommate got N64 on teh virtual console, but he do not know much about VG and the think is he own 1 GC controller and 1 CC.. As far as i know, you ahve to play with 2 GC or 2 CC... Thus we try but the GC is not reconize... So anyone here knows if is possible nwith 1 and 1??

I don't quite understand what you're asking.

The N64 games can be played with the Classic Controller or the Gamecube Controller, as many up to 4 each if the game allows that many players.
