I still have a of memory left, but I'm gonna buy lots of games, so I was also thinking of buying an SD card, but it got me wondering

I know you can't play VC games that are on the SD, you need to copy them back to the wii, but what about games' save files? Can I save them in the SD card and when I fire up the game it will read form the SD like a MC from the GC, or do I have to transfer it back and forth to load?

Best Regards

Unfortunately, you need to transfer them back and forth to load.

Gets REALLY freaking tiring, especially when you spend alot of time switching back and forth between all of your friends Wiis. I wish Nintendo would have thought of a better way to do this. Remember the good old days when all you had to do was carry a memory card and select the file? Good times man, good times.

I have a SD question myself though. How do you transfer the data from the SD card to your computer? Do they make some device that I havn't yet come across in my google searches?

I'm not sure if they are readable (given as I not certain about how information from the Wii is stored to the SD Card) but you can purchase a USB SD reader that will read SD cards. I picked one up for my wife from Fry's Electronics for about $10 so she could transfer her photos from her Digital Camera to her PC. Check it out.

my computer has a built in card reader anyway or you could always buy and intral an internal card reader and intral it like that but it requires some PC know how there, I did that on my older system and just removed the floppy disc drive as I never used it, or as said get a USB reader since they are all fairly cheap, but I am pretty sure you can't copy any of those files from the Wii to a PC well atleast not in readable fashion and chances are you wouldnt beable to take the VC games off.

Since SD is a standard format, you can use a commonly available card reader as said. Or, alternatvely, if you have a digital camera that uses SD cards, usually you can use that to transfer the files.

OR you can also use one of these nifty gizmos.
