well im getting the hang of useing neku but sometimes when i try to move him he doesnt and i just drag the stylus on the ground in the game but thats probably because im not touching the right part of him to move him or something.

but what i need help is useing the top screen. because if i look at the top screen and look where the noise are, i will take my attention off of neku. but i want to play with shiki also but how do i control neku also? i can always just put shiki on auto play but the conputer isnt as smart as the player is and doesnt attack like a player would. so how does everyone else do it? cause this game is addicting and i just got the game like 6 hours ago and im at the part where i have to help the hachiko statue on day 2. ds ran out of battery so i had to recharge it and guests came so yea 6 hours and im on day 2.

are all the days short? day 1 went by pretty quick.

There are two ways of fighting with both characters at the same time that I know of:

  1. Use pins that have a long duration to attack and stun enemies (Some of the pins you get later are great at this.). As long as the pin lasts, you won't have to worry about Neku being attacked so you can focus on the top screen. Or...
  2. Concentrate solely on the bottom screen. Don't pay attention to the top screen at all, just make sure sure you're hearing your partner attack the enemy when you randomly attack in a direction.

well since im still at the beginning and since i just started the game, it ses to leave the top screen on autoplay. but i notice that her hp goes down while mine is usually full or little bit damaged. and i know that you should worry about the player your actually useing mostly but i think about what shes also doing. and shes more of a mage type since she uses ESP and all so i try to use her but its hella hard. ill try to learn as much as i can from the first play through and challenge myself on the second playthrough.

and i dont know about this but is it a good strategy to lvl up your pins at whatever time of the game and then move on in the game? cause before killing the noise at moyai statue, i worked on the 5 pins you have. but it seems like even if the game is turned off or the ds is closed while being turned on, the time in the game goes on. will i get a game over if i leave the game turned on over night? because i might just blank out while im playing the game at like 1 in the morning or something cause i have school lol. sometimes happens lol.

I just happaned to level my pins because I like battling.

Anyway, I just mashed left and right, depending on the enemies were (I look up periodically), I mostly focus on the bottom screen.

Real life time has no bearing on the game.(except for extra PP)

Start learning how to handle the both of them now, as it is only going to get tougher as the game goes on.

Start your attack with Neku, if you are most familiar with him. When he passes the green "puck" to Shiki THEN concentrate on her. Get used to passing the puck back and forth between the two of them, as chaining your attacks and scoring hits in succession gets you more Bling in the form of Pins and Exp.

The general flow goes like this:

Attack with Neku-->Pass the puck to Shiki-->Press the D-pad in the direction of the nearest enemy to Shiki-->Press the D-pad in the direction of the highlighted arrows 'til you complete a combo with Shiki-->Pass the puck back to Neku and repeat...

Slow down the auto-play function if you have to, 'til you get the hang of her attacks, as the activation of your fusion attacks depends on doing HER attacks in the correct sequence! You're going to need these later!

Don't be concerned with how much time you spend away from the game, it is not going to end by you not playing! The only thing the game calculates time away for is to calculate bonus exp. you get when you turn it back on, but you're not even near that part of the game yet.

For a long time I didn't focus on the top screen at all. I just focused on Neku. I noticed that the top screen player never seemed to do much so after a while, I decided to look up after now and then and mash whichever direction the opponent is in.

I'd like to point out that the top player does a lot more damage than Neku but they're much more prone to just being knocked back and not doing much damage.

The "week" actually lasts for about 15 hours.

I honestly just relied on luck. Mashed the D-Pad in the direction of the enemy on the top screen, then when you get far enough you get to counterattack, I just kept looking at the top screen briefly when I was slashing away with Neku (or firing force rounds, something that stuns the enemy enough) and if the one behind Shiki was going to attack, i'd counter.

I never let the computer control as they suck and just get killed ~_~. (and fusion does occur if you just mash, just takes a while haha)

Memorize the motions you go through and get a rythme down for when things run out and recharge. You'll obivously play worse blind, but it's still possible to do attacks and tell if you hit via sound. Then you cna put more focus into what you need to do top screen. Top screen isn't wroth too much focus though unless you get combo extenders. Combo extends will greatly increase your damage you do by going up and down instead of pure forward.

Hell, if you ever want to play Joshua well, you should need combo extenders. That will make your little peices of junk you drop on them turn into freakin cars wroth hundreds of damage.

im on day 7 fighting the giant bird noise and its sorta hard because it drops the vehiles on you. the busses are probably instant kill. i would switch to easy mode or go on a higher lvl but ive went through the whole game to this point on only lvl 1 with normal mode. im lvl 18 right now. it wouldnt be really that hard but because the bird is on both screens, its as if it has 4 bars of health. and that means i have to pay attention to both screens. neku has things dropped on him and gets a swarm of birds on him while im trying to make the fusion appear but i keep messing up on the order of the cards.

am i doing ok so far? and im gettng the hang of shiki but only because i have 3 fusion stars from the start of a fight. i have the fusion star items. anyone know good pins to use on the bird? i have pins that have the area booster. but i cant kill the bird fast. i want to try to avoid useing easy mode and picking my lvl up. i killed the big yellow bear from game master on easy mode with lvl 1 before. so maybe i can do the same with the bird. but he seems harder.
