Questions about Crimson DS

Im considering buying another DS since i have chipped off piece on my white ds, due to the white DS's "Edge Problem". I was considering getting the glossy silver DS from Europe online. But im reconsidering getting a crimson DS because i have to get a color that is sold in store here if im considering selling my DS to gamestop (freaking cheapos xD).

Anyways...i have a few questions about the Crimson DS

-How well does the Crimson DS pair up against other colors? how good does it look? i saw one on display for a brief moment in wal-mart. the red kinda looks like ketchup red to me o.o.

-I heard the crimson ds has problems with the screen. I heard that theres a yellowish tint on the screen and washed out blurry pixels. How many people who have a crimson ds (US) have this problem or not?

-i saw on a video that the crimson ds isnt as glossy as the onyx ds. the crimson ds is only glossy on the red portion of it and not on anywhere else (the onyx ds is glossy on both the top and bottom of the ds casing). this seems like a good and a bad thing. for one, you wont see finger prints on the back portion of the ds since there isnt any gloss there. but i heard you can get scratches on it easy because of this (but some people say the scratches wipe off). Whats good and bad about The Crimson DS casing?

Well it's probably the same as the cobalt, but just different colours. Sure it's not glossy on both sides, but you benefit from that because you get less fingerprints on it and less scratches. I have a Cobalt DS, and I'm jelous for anyone who has a crimson one. I thought the cobalt was going to shine out of the rest of the colours, but the dark blue colour really makes it... dull in my opinion. The red on the crimson DS really stands out and it looks really nice. Nothing is bad with the casing, it's just a plastic bottom but i'm sure it'd feel MUCH more comfortable than the glossy onyx. I can't answer the crimson ds problem regarding the pixels because I have a cobalt one.

Either way, if you do get the crimson ds, it's a good ds anyways, I don't think a certain ds colour has a certain problem.

Maybe I should put this out, the cobalt ds doesn't seem to have ANY problems whatsoever. And I've had it for about 2 months now.

I think it looks real good compared to the other colors. No, mine does not have the screen problems you mention. It looks sharp, but does show fingerprints more so I have to wipe it off.

where does it does it show fingerprints?

The crimson ds only shows finger prints on the top. Since it's the only glossy area. The bottom part of the ds seems comfortable to hold because it's that rough plasticy type of stuff.Proke

since the red is kinda bright, do you still notice the fingerprints? like on the white ds, you dont notice fingerprints because of its bright texture. is it the same thing? or are they really noticable?

Um, I think it's noticable regardless of the colour. My cobalt ds shows finger prints when sunlight shines on it. I think (don't quote me on this) it would show the finger prints, but only if it was under the sunlight or something. It won't really matter either because you're going to take good care of your ds, right? ;)Proke

i have a crimson ds and i am very happy with it.

it has the red glossy top and a black plastic bottom which has a rouch texture. it feels nice and serves well for a better grip. anD It's much harder to scratch the bottom and apply finger prints upon the bottom.

The top part is very nice in my opinion. it's a very nice shade of red. finger prints are visible but it's easy to wipe them off.

as for the screen.... i haven't had any problems at all whatsoever. no missing pixels or weird colors.....

i had a white ds and the screen started to give up on me after a year and a half. This new crimson ds has been with me for a few months now and it seems to have a better screen and it's much much much more durable. :]

oh btw... i noticed the anime reference.

can i ask for the full name of this anime. i'm interested in seeing what it is all about.

thanks for the tip for the crimson ds. as for the anime, its called tengen toppa gurren lagann. Its one of the top 10 animes of ALL TIME in japan as well as in many other websites. Your not gonna find any other anime thats as epic as this one. Its very criticly acclaimed. They already released like 2 episodes dubbed in american on sci-fi. The dub is ok, but i like the japanese voices better.
