Will it be like Leafgreen, were you could only get Pokémon from other generations after beating the Elite Four and getting another Pokédex?

[QUOTE="Stats_"]did you even read the rest of the question? i'm not sure how it'll work, but i'd bet it's the same thing that happened in the GBA remakesNo, it's like Gold/Silver

It wasn't very specific. I have the game by the way, and it's just like Gold and Silver. If you want pokemon not from those regions included in the originals, you'll need to trade.

even after you beat the elite 4 and go somewhere else? because i'm 100% sure kyogre/groudon and latias/latios are on the game, to name the legendaries.did you even read the rest of the question? i'm not sure how it'll work, but i'd bet it's the same thing that happened in the GBA remakes[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"][QUOTE="Stats_"]

OK, allow me to refrase. In Leafgreen, none of 2nd or 3rd generation Pokémonappeared until beat the Elite Four and obtained the National Dex. My question was if it would be the same in HGSS. Would it be like you're wandering around Goldenrod city and a wild Luxio would appear, or just the good 'ol Mareep?

Like latias and Groudon will be on Heart Gold and the other two on Soul Silver. Apart from them there is one more addtion in Arceus which you can catch after a invent at lvl 20 i believe.
Apart from that, there are no Pokemon from the games after Gold and Silver.
Also, you can trade at anytime with D/P/Pt, Pokemon that don't go with the PokeDex will simply be ??? on their PokeDex numbers.Dragard_KaosCrap he beat me to it. :( Anyways, you can trade for Pokemon from other regions early in the game. I believe it was after you got the pokedex, but I could be wrong.

Wronggggg. After the Elite 4, the Safari Zone, Headbutt, and Bug Catching Contest update themselves with the Honnen and Sinnoh Pokes (some, not all)Please Log In to post.
