The simple answer is you don't. This is actually one of the reasons I haven't picked up a DSi. I don't play any GBA games on my DS, but I have both GH games and play them quite often and wouldn't be able to unless I kept my current DS. I wish Ninty would have given some though to this before they decided to do away with the slot.

I would agree with you too but yesterday there was a big debate about the slot and.. I don't know now.

I agree that not beinga ble to play GH on DS is a epic fail, but then again... what else could they do? There are so many new things on the DSi that it kinda veto'd it out. Unfortunately :(

i mean sure it would add extra weight but by makeing a lighter slot cover it could have been a ultimate system. by playing ds dsi and gba games.

Keep your Lite/Phat DS. I kept both of my Lites, and picked up a DSi at midnight on launch.

Sure, it lacks the GBA Slot, but the DSi is amazing.

Seriously, Guitar Hero DS is not even good, any PS version is way better, why do you mind?

hahahaha...who plays guitar hero like that anyway? it's ridiculous...curled up in your little chair, strumming away....the DS is supposed to be portable, but this game requires you to play at home, pretty much. it's just sooo much better to play the real thing that's probably sitting across from you as you play...

I wish Ninty would have given some thought to this before they decided to do away with the slot.

They did. Having the slot would have a negative affect and limit what they were able to do with the DSi. The original model was found to be unattractive and bulky, so they removed the slot... Then again, the Slot-2 in the original design was another DS card slot to make hot-swapping more convenient. If another DS slot was too big, then a GBA slot would impossible to put in. It wasn't in the company's best interest to keep the slot. P.S. I heard that they were trying to find a way around the missing slot-2, maybe a grip that plugs in to the DS slot, but who knows...

I think that making it smaller was a bigger priority for Nintendo than the few people who won't buy DSi's because they can't play Guitar Hero on it.
