Quite possibly the worst thing that has ever happened...EVER!

For those of you who do not know I am 24 years old and married with one baby boy. The baby boy just turned 14 months old. Lately he is on this kick where he throws EVERYTHING in the garbage because we taught him how to throw his dirty diapers away and it just clicked with him.

So I was playing my DS in my living room before I went to sleep last Monday night and I left it on the arm of the couch when I went to bed. I woke up late the following morning and went about my day. When it came time for me to get some more Mario and Luigi time in, my DS was not where I had left it. I called my wife and she didn't know where it was.

I searched for it everywhere, I tore apart my entire house but to no avail. It finally dawned on me that perhaps my son had thrown it in the living room wastebasket. My wife had dumped the wastebaskets AND taken out the garbage that day because TUESDAY IS THE DAY THE GARBAGE MAN COMES!!!

So, my Nintendo DS with Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time loaded in it, is somewhere in the county landfill. Should I go digging for it or just cough up the dough for another DS?

A) never find it becasue it might get turned in to a cube of metal or if you do going for it in all of that junk (witch is a lot) you might just get very sick.

B) JUst buy another one and with the game.

Ha Ha, for real. I never just leave mine laying around, especially with a child running around. Every night I put it on the charger on top of my stereo speaker. No children can reach it, and I know where its at all the time. I hope you learned a lesson from this. And...dont go digging through all that garbage. The city probably wont let you do it anyways, but youre not talking about going through a bag or two of garbage. Youre talking about going through piles and piles of used condoms and dirty neddles, and other nasty stuff. Just cough up the one thirty and go get another one.

allright for those who dont no landfills are MASSIVE theres no way u will be able to find it, just think about every single person garbage in the entire city in one spot???? just buy a new one dude and get a lite :)

Sucks man. My girlfriend and I both game. She doesn't have a DS yet, but probably will soon, though I let her play mine. Since we're both game players, we treat all the systems with care.

In fact, for a variety of reasons including having lots of game systems, we've decided not to ever reproduce. In fact, my wedding gift is gonna be to get snipped! *sniff* I'm so happy!

Oh, as for the DS... you'll have to find a new one unfortunately. Sorry. :(

I feel sorry. Something like this happened to me last night/ today. My little brother ( 4 yrs old ) loves playing my DS even if i say no he'll take it . so last night i was playing advanced wars: dual strike about to beat my created map and its been like over 100 days so then what does it do it dies! so i put it on its charger and go to bed.. Later that night i got woken up around like 1 and i saw my little brother taking it because he never ever sleeps i was too tired jsut told him to put it back and i went to bed. sadly i woke up the next morning went into my moms room ( lil bro still sleeps with mom ) then i saw my DS laying on the ground i turned it on and the top screen was all white :( its turns out he fell asleep with it and when my mom moved she knocked it out of the bed....NOW SHE OWES ME A NEW ONE but knowing here she wont get me onetheCLASSICS_22

 As far as the Dump thing. You have better chances of winning the Lotto then finding that thing fully functional and intact.....or finding it at all. I put every thing up high. Now you've just learned a new parent life lesson. I had very younger siblings so I knew what to do ahead of time.
