i've had my wii for about 2 years now and a couple months ago these lines which look like dead pixels showed up. i can see them in every game even on the wii menu and channels. the only time i don't see them is when i play gamecube games.

i've plugged it into 3 different tv's and even bought new component cables and there was no difference.

i'm sure others have had this problem and i didn't want to revive a topic from January 2007 so i made a new one.

If any of you had had this problem and sent it to Nintendo, how long did it take and how much did it cost?

I was thinking for using the replacement form on nintendo.com but i'd get billed for 85 dollars for the repair and yeaaa i don't exactly have the money.

Are they big pixels? If they are tiny I would just let it go.

It sounds like your Wii overheated and the GPU was fried. You're going to have to send it to Nintendo if you want it fixed. Is your system still under warranty?
