Hi, this is my first of what I hope to be a good number of Accessory reviews for wii. The system is as follows, I have 5 categories and to keep it simple, I give them either a plus (+) for good, a minus (-) for bad, or a zero (0) for average.

Anyways, I just got my "Light Gun" in the mail and as poorly as the name is translated, so are all it's instructions on the box. I just threw that away as it's worthless and full of poor grammar for such a simple box. Yeah that stuff doesn't matter so lets get into how it works:

Functionality: (+)
It takes some getting used to but eventually playing wii play's target game, I got up to my old average of scores. It feels wobble at first but your hand will smoothen out with it after a bit of play. What I really REALLY love that helps it work with a lot of games is that it has a holder for the nunchuck. 1 thing to keep in mind however is that if you have a custom battery pack that's rechargeable and takes a different shape, be wary as it might not fit in the slot.

Visuals: (+)
If you for some reason cannot see the picture above, it looks slick. Wii remote slides in there, nunchuck attaches to the bottom. This is not something I'm hiding when my friends come over.

Games: (0)
Lets face it, you know which games you will be using this with. If you need instant direct access to the A, 1, or 2 buttons, you're a bit out of luck. So far I can use this with wii play's and warioware's shooting gallery and elebit's game just fine. I mainly bought this however, in hope to use it with ghost squad and resident evil umbrella chronicles.

Strength: (+)
It's got a strong feeling to the frame and I feel pressing this trigger it won't break any time soon.

Value: (-)
At the moment, this holds little value. The few games you can use it with don't add too much to the experience and it's really what you see, what you get. It's $20 online, which is the only place to find it, as you're buying it from Hong kong. I got lucky however, not on price as I still paid $18, but on the fact that I ordered mine from California.

Final word:
Buy it if you are like me and wanted a design different from the up and coming wii zapper, but even at this point, I suggest you wait til we're a bit closer for those actual games to come out.

The website that's home to this thing doesn't offer an actual buying area, just go ebay and look for "wii light gun". Oh, and by VERY carful about shipping cost. Price may say $10, but the other $10 always comes from shipping.

I was about to order this yesterday, but then I noticed it pretty much doesn't work with any FPS out currently. I wanted it for metroid especialy but you use the A to shoot so it's useless for anything but an on-rail shooter. I'm gonna' order it if it works with MoH 2, since in the E3 conference he said it was especialy made for the Wii Zapper and that doesn't have access to the remote's buttons. The only thing that would worry me is if the actions that require you to swing the wizapper would work.

*sighs* and here I thought it would be a light gun for the wii finally. A light gun uses the light *or sometimes pixels* off your tv. The wii remote uses the sensor bar. That item you just reviewed is just a holster for the wii remote, meaning its light gun name is off. Oh well, good review none-the-less.

Yeah, I made mention of that in the review:

Apparently, off brand hong kong developers don't know what the light in light gun means.

How's the trigger on it? Does it get caught? Can you shoot as quickly as if you were using the remote by itself?

Trigger has never gotten caught for me before, however to start of playing with it, you'll move petty slow. After a bit of practice though, I set records on my wii play target range. I wouldn't say it's better than using a wii remote but it's not worse.

It can easly be trusted for umbrella chronicles, but for metroid, not even the zapper can be trusted.
