"Several Kingdom Hearts Titles in the Works" - Opinions?

So on the Square Enix website there was a fan powered Q&A session with Director Tetsuya Nomura.

A read through to the last question and we discover that there are "several titles being planned and some in preparation for development".

So what do you think these new titles will be and (as a KH fan or newcomer) are you looking forward to them?

Personally I am relatively new to the Kingdom Hearts series but played a fair amount of 385/2 Days and loved it! No doubt I will be keeping close watch of this one.

Well good for the fans and Square-Enix. I kind of lost interest in the series after part 2 but I might pick up BBS though.

It's not really surprising that they would have more Kingdom Hearts games in the works. I dunno if he really means several... that seems a bit much.

But yeah, the more kingdom hearts the better, I can't wait for BBS. That's like half the reason I bought a PSP.

Its 99% true, remember at TGS in 2007, 3 KH's were announced, this time around I hope one of those is KH 3 on the PS3.

Why couldn't it just end with KH3? :(

He mentioned a while back that they have at least three games in development, although I don't remember if that included BBS or not. Definitely keeping on eye out for any news on that front.

Personally I dont understand nearly any of KH's story :P even though Ive played KH 1+ 2+ 358/2 and a bit of COM on PS2, but I couldnt careless I just play it for how great the game is, I love the disney worlds yet its very epic and has that special FF feel.

But I did read that KH3 will end the Xehanort saga, so in turn which means KH4+ will be a brand new thing, which im quite sad about actually :P I was 10 when the first KH came out, now Im 18 and Ive grown up with all the characters, so new ones will be quite strange.

And this is where I say goodbye to the series. If it was to end at III I wouldve continued until then but they insist on milking and dragging out the unbelievably convoluted plot. Im backing out.

I had the first game and it was okay, but I felt like it should have just been a one-game deal and now a whole friggin series of games. They really ruined it with all of the boring organization crap.

There are more spin-off's then there are direct sequels in the series.Minishdriveby

I don't really see how 358/2 Days or Birth by Sleep are spin-offs, since they play (near) exactly like the PS2 games do, and they advance the main story (more or less). Something like Mario Kart is a spin-off, or for this discussion, Chain of Memories.

Nomura said a few weeks ago, March 28th I believe, that Kingdom Hearts III is in the works. He also said that two other Kingdom Hearts games are in the works. He plans to release one of them during this years holiday season. Birth by Sleep is due this summer and Coded still hasn't recieved a release date outside of Japan.

Anyway, I am so excited for BBS!! But I don't have a PSP. I will mostlikely end up buying the PSP, BBS bundle which includes a special edition PSP. So far, Japan only but, I'm still hoping for a US release. As for Coded, there have been Final Fantasy games that have been Japan only so Coded could end up like one of them aswell.

Nomura said that KHIII would not be the end of Sora's story. He said to consider it the: "End of the Xehanort Saga". Meaning, that KH will say as a single lined story and won't be like FF. He mentions that it's a single lined story many times during the fan interview aswell. I'm so excited! ^-^

Isn't the story way too complicated right now? :P

I played the first and Chain of Memories, parts of the second and my friend told me about 358/2 days. I'm getting really confused with all these characters. I understand where Roxas came from...kinda... but isn't there another look alike in BBS? O__o
