RE 4 progress ?

i just got to the castle, can anyone tell me if it is possible to go back to the village to pick up treasures after going in to the castle?

Its not possible to go back to the village. Only way that can happen is on your 2nd playthough of the game with the secret costumes. You'll keep all your stats and weapons and such. You'll then have the chance to get all the treasures.
