RE: Darkside Chronicles, gamespot review a 6, what?

Was gamespot smoking crack when they review this game? I was having so much fun playing this game. Gamespot complained about the shaking camera. But I thought the shaking camera was totally awesome. It really does add a sense of being a character in the game, running and shooting, and seeing through the eyes of the character. When you run and jump or when there's an impact, or when your character look around his/her environment, of course the camera cannot just stand still for you to shoot. I don't get why this game got a 6. It was a totally awesome game.

I'd give it a 7 max.

GameSpot just loves to give Wii games scores lower than those on other platforms.

I'd give it 8.0 at most.

Everyone hates the Wii.

When a Good game comes out for it they give it a bad score because it's not on the other systems.

They need to look at these shooters in a different way.

...and when a better game comes along, such as Dead Space Extraction, everyone hates it for being a on rails shooter. So why all the love for Resident Evil ?

To everyone claiming that GS' dislike of the Wii is what caused the score for RE: DC, how does one then explain the fact that Dead Space: Extraction got an 8.0?

The GS review is BS, it deserves an 8.0 atleast. The story itself is worth it, gives alot of insight for RE fans.

I like it more than the over-rated piece of trash that is RE 5, a million times better than in story alone. Flame me at will, I don't care, it's a fact for me.

tbh it doesn't look that good... i doubt anything will beat res 4RDOTR

It's not supposed to be a competitor of RE 4, it's supposed to be a summary of what happened during RE2/RE:CV (with a few new insights) and the gap that was between RE4 and RE5. It succeeds 100% with its goal and it's a fun game overall.

You must own it if you're an RE fan no question, and I found it to be of much more value and fun than the rip-off that was RE5.

Agreed kenny. Too much hate. GS only gets it right half the time

I already questionedGS' integrity when they gave Mario Kart 64 a 6.4, gave a woefully written TP review, 8.9 to Melee and gave Gotcha Force a 5.0. But then again, they gave NMH a 9.0, a dead-on score for Half Life 2 and a fantastic review on God Hand.....

I agree with gamespot, while I do enjoy this games its not as good as Umbrella Chronicles.

GS reviews are inconsistent. They'll give one game a bad score, despite a similar game on any console being similar.

Dont listen to GS, listen to accurate player reviews.

I really don't like this game. The shakey cam brought me back to watching Cloverfield *barf*.

It deserves better, wAY better

thats because on rails shooters suck...as do most wii games lately. exactly why i traded mine. even twilight princess couldnt score a 9. until i see some quality games and much less minigame complilations and shovelware, expect a lot of 6's and 7's for wii games.

This claim is so common that I did a statistical study on it a while back. The conclusion was that there was no real evidence of systemic bias on GameSpot, or any other site for that matter, either for or against either the Wii or any other console. GameSpot may slightly overrate low-rated Xbox 360 games and underrate low-rated Wii games, but that's about it. Among the higher-rated games on each console, there was nothing whatsoever.

Disagree with a review's score if one will, but the "bias" claim is kind of getting a little tiring. :P

lets not do the whole Gamespot hates this system because your game did not score X. It's an opinion from a site which happens to have a lot more experience playing games than most of us do. They are allowed to have their opinion, it's not based on the fact it's a Wii game. Did anyone forget it was the Wii that had a GOTY just 2 years ago.
