Listen, i'm a Resident evil fan to the fullest, i have been playing resident evil since RE2 came out on demo disc for computer and i have been a fan since, now all RE Fans will appreciate Umbrella Chronicles beacsue it will fill out the gaps of the story, one thing thati relized is that all the people who are complaining about Umbrella Chronicles are the ones who started following the RE story line since RE4, im sorry to say but you have no say on what capcom should or should not be doing, they have been making RE games before you and they will continue after you. With that said, Resident Evil has been one the best storylines in a any game for a game with sequels upon sequels (prequels too), and im glad they are releasing Umbrella Chronicles to fill in the gaps, shoot, i'd styll buy it if it were an interactive DVD

I agree. While almost everything has been answered at one point or another, its difficult to wait 2 or 3 games to find out what happens, and recall characters, what they did, and so on. It'll be really nice to have everything tied into 1 game.
At first I didn't like the fact that the game was on rails but now looking at some pics and a teaser video I acctually like it. And I know it's sad but I only started liking RE after number 4 Mostly because the camera angles and such seemed so weird to me so I wasn't interested but after playing 4 I was really curious about the story so I went back rented most of the other ones and then I liked it... so yeah.

Dude, you're taking things too seriously. People are always going to complain. RE:UC on rails, WW cel-shading, TP NOT cel-shading, SPM is too short, and a butt-load of other garbage. You seem like you need to vent, so I hope the boards have let you do so, but when you think about it, NONE of us has any influence on what Capcom will do, no matter how early you or anyone else started playing the games. Let's all just remember that these are video games and not international politics or anything. I don't want to come across as flaming you or anything cuz I understand the frustration, but just keep everything in perspective. Thanks.

I didnt like the early RE's because of the control and camera angles. That doesnt make me less of a fan by any means. "I'm sorry but you have no say in anything Capcom does" Dude shut up. I appreciate the storytelling of the early games and I appreciate and love the brilliance of RE4. There is a reason RE4 is hailed as one of the best games ever, and fans of that game get to express their opinion. Personally I hope that they work very hard on the visuals for this game just as the did with the GC version. That is my say. And I said it. So chill.
the only RE ive play was the remake on the GC. I couldnt get into it because I felt trapped and didnt like the camera. This time im going for the Wii-make of RE4 because of how involved your might feel thanks to the controller.
I have been an RE fan since I bought Resident Evil with my PS1 back in the day! RE:UC is like a big huge from Capcom to all the people who have fallowed the series I just cannot wait for it!!!

Funny thing is, I became a RE fan the same way. I got a demo disc for RE2 for my computer and instantly fell in love...lol.
At first, I was dissapointed with it being on rails, I was hoping for RE4 style gameplay, but I am still exxcited about this game and most likely will preorder it. I just hope Capcom works hard on it and just doesn't throw us garbage(just to utilize the controller) so we can stop **** about not getting 5. But knowing Capcom, I feel like they are going to be putting a lot of work into this one.
the only RE games I have never played yet was code veronica and the gameboy one. All in all, I'm looking forward to umbrella chronicles. The only thing bad here is the UC board; nothing but trolls and cynics right now. It's chaotic.

Well, I guess I don't like Resident Evil then? I mean sure, I bought the original for the Playstation game based on the boxart (the first and only time I have done such) shortly after it came out, but I'm not a fan. I've played all and loved most in the series, but I'm not a fan. I say this because according to you if I was a fan I should be stoked for Umbrella Chronicles. I'm not. I shouldn't be disappointed, but I am. Very, very disappointed. Needless to say, I disagree with you. Besides, you wrote the longest sentence ever. Real RE fans don't use run-on sentences, dude. If anything I think that most of the people who have played the series since the beginning are disappointed. We've seen Capcom try shooters with the franchise, and those games simply aren't nearly as good. Maybe they'll make a great game, I don't know. It also may suck. All I know is that as of now Umbrella Chronicles went from a guranteed purchase to a rental.

honest i believe you cant be a prop Re fan if you only played RE4. it's a great game but the other games where also great
