I'd say yeah, even though im my opinion I rated it a 8.2 many people praise this game, and so do I kinda'. It's a great game especially with the Wii controls, if you don't buy it just rent it and see how it is.
I personally say without question. I don't own it anymore on the Gamecube but I did, and of course I'd beaten it, and I still bout Wii edition and its totally worth it. The new controls plus the extra stuff make it worth it. Using the Wiimote to play this game is the ONLY way to do it. And it makes the purchase totally worthwhile. I promise you won't regret it. Besides it's like the best game almost EVER so you know it's gonna rock!
if u have the gc version like me then i say no ive played both theres jsut a few add things in wii version new controls of course and added lost chapters but thats all. i say ney unlees u got the 30$ to buy the same game with a few cool special features.
Yeah the Wii version is definitely worth a purchase based on its low price and EXCELLENT controls. It even incorporates all of the bonus features present in the PS2 version of the game, i.e. the stuff that's not available in the GC version.
It's really worthy of a second buy! Me and my son played so many times the GC version and despite that, we never doubted in getting the Wii version, and I don't regret at all!
I have both the Gamecube and Wii version of the game, and I lost count of how many hours each game have gotten all together. Probably in the 120s in hours
I was lucky with RE4 because when I got my Wii I picked up the cube version and the same day read that it was coming out on Wii so I had a few hours with it and got a refund, and waited. So I playedthrough it for the first time with the Wii version and it has to be one of my favourite games. I would say it is a much better experience as I found the cube controls a little awkwad in retrospect, but as I said I onlyplayed the cube version for a short while.The 16:9 alone would be enough for me but the new control methodis awesome.
this is what i did.... i trade my RE4 GC version copy and got the Wii version... I play Ada`s mission (pretty nice one) and had the wii controller feature extra, which was NICE.
(and yes i had beat the whole thing in the GC, missionaries, unlockeables.... exc one: i could no get 5** with one of the missionaries :( :P )
Game is awsome. I played it for the first time on the wii. I owned a gamecube too but RE stopped apealing to me after RE0. So RE4 I decided not to buy (gamecube). I beat this game in about 3-4 days. And it was so good that I restarted the entire game right afterwood. I beat it again in like 2 days. The controls are so good. I really can't imagine playing it with a normal controller. Get it!!!!
I would say yes. I own the GC version and played through it too many times. I unlocked everything in it, and I still got my money out of the Wii version. At the price point it is, playing the game with the Wii controls, and the various bonus material you get with it makes it worth it.

i got it because of the sweet aiming, you can easily get 6000 points on the shooting minigame with the merchant, besides it´s really cheap and i got it bundled with REmake, though i haven't played it as much as the gc version
If you are a fan of RE4 and like to play it multiple timeI say yes, cause its not that expensive, and the aiming is much more fun than on the GC version.
