Well, I have a really tough desicion to make. I have very little money left that i am allowing myself to spend (I have about $30 CDN). My choice is to either save up for another couple weeks or so and then buy Pokemon Diamond, or buy Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney now and buy pokemon later, around the summer. I think right now I'm leaning towards Pokemon. it just looks so damn good, but I'm still not sure

Go with Pokemon. Pheonix Wright, while a great game, is short, and has very little replay value. Pokemon, however, is Pokemon.

I've never played Pokemon, but I am currently playing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney and I think you should save up for Pokemon. Phoenix Wright is good (not great) and funny in parts, but it's really a whole lot of reading text and hitting the A button so you can read even more text. During cross-examination you basically press the witness on everything they say and present evidence when you spot a contradiction. It's kinda boring, rather easy, and I'm glad I only paid $16 for it at Circuit City. Even if I really loved it (like so many people seem to!), I doubt I'd play through it again.

Pokemon probably seems like it would last you longer, because Phoenix Wright, although it is a pretty long game (I've played it around 2-3 hours per day for 10 days before I completed it), and it's a lot of fun, it has absolutely no replay value...

PW:AA is a great game (I would give it around 9/10) but if you want a game to last you until the summer, I think you'd be better off with Pokemon.

If you have people to trade stuff with in in Diamond or Peral then get it now.  If not and if you get the summer off, wait and get Pokeman used at the start of your break and play PW:AA until then.  Either way, you will want the other so your kinda stuck.  I only offerend the idea because when summer break starts in a moth or so there should be a good number of used copies of Diamond and Pearl for sale.  Of course as like I said at the begining, if you have friends that are getting Pokeman now, then get it asap so you can keep up in level and trade.  Again, either way you'll be getting a good game and will still end up wanting the other.

On a different note, make sure you get PW:AA before you get PW:JFA.
