Currently, Wiis are selling out everywhere.  Now tell me, why would Nintendo put out big name games such as Metroid now when they can wait till they have a surplus of Wiis?  With the surplus made, Nintendo can release the titles and make big money selling tons of games and lots of consoles.  If they released them now, sure plenty of people would buy the games, but the people who wanted the games and didn't have a Wii wouldn't be able to get either of them.  Those people who couldn't get the Wii would probably develop a grudge against Nintendo. So basically I'm saying it's in Nintendo's best interests to hold off the sale of their bigger games until production is ramped up. This may just be a load of bs so don't be afraid to say so. :D

Also plz add your own reasons as well.

It's a valid reason yes... no doubt Nintendo releases games strategically... But... there is also the "problem" with Shigeru Miyamoto, who is a perfectionist in the most extreme sense of the word (take a look at his garden, and you'll know what i mean) and when he gets deep into a project, he isn't gonna get out untill its 100% the way he wants it to be, and that takes time! Always more time then initially assumed.

And this is why I love Shigeru Miyamoto. =)

Game sales figures prove you wrong.

I love all these conspiracy theories.  First, Nintendo was holding back Wiis because they wanted to increase demand.  Now, they're holding back games because there's not enough Wiis out there to play them on.  Why not look at the simplest explanation for software delays: the games aren't ready.

So let them, if they're too impatient to wait a few months for nintendo's big guns to come out and are dumb enough to sell it at a time where it's near impossible to get one, then they aren't real gamers, real gamers know that good things come to those of us who wait, and someone out there that wanted a wii for the games out now AND the games coming out later will be happy.

Miyamoto is a perfectionist, that's why. If you've played MP1&2, you'll know that not the games are great, but sometimes leave out a little something that'll score it points. (As seen with MP2) Miyamoto wants MP3 and Brawl and Galaxy to be the perfect games. The ones, like Super Mario Brothers (The original), that will be remembered by younger gamers, and be known as the "good days" when they get older. He's done it once. Who says he can't do it again?

Releasing the big 3 at about the same time would be a stupid idea. Hopefully Nintendo will breathe an extra month in between releases.

Maybe a month isn't even good enough.  What I think is that they will release the big 3 starting from September/November of this year and the other two will be released before March of next year.
