Hey

I have a Wii I've started using more when friends come round.

We've been playing Super Smash Bros, I'm looking forward to getting Super Mario Bros Wii - and I am looking to build a collection of N64 titles from Virtual Console.

We have two official remotes/nunchucks, but I don't fancy spending £90 getting another two. AlthoughI normally like official products, I can justify going budget for occassional 3rd and 4th guests when there is such a massive price difference.

I saw Argos do a remote/nunchuk pair for £20. What do you guys recommend for a decent remote/nunchuck pair?

Also, if I want to play N64 games - is a remote/nunchuk pair ok?

I must say, Nintendo are as good at Apple at forcing you to buy accessories!

Thanks

the best wii remotes you can offer your friends are your friends' wii remotes. ask them to bring over. and i think you need a gamecube controller or a cIassic controller to play N64 games.

None of my friends own a Wii - even mine is technically my sisters. We are 360 gamers mainly, but I have found the Mario games on the Wii to be excellent fun.

So I'd still like recommendations for decent, cheap wiimotes/nunchucks please!

I just found out about N64 games requiring a controller. I'm quite sure the wiimote/nunchuk combo could accomodate, if they wanted it to!

Would these do that job?

Here we go. I can get two of these Venom nunchuk/controllers for £40 - half the cost of Official!

Any opinions?

N64 titles need a gamecube controller or a classic controller (there are 2 versions, the normal or the pro one, get the classic controller pro)

That Nyko remote is £36 with the nunchuk. I'd rather pay the extra £9 for the real thing than that ugly one!

The motionplus is not something I'm interested in either as:

A) No Mario games demand it (they are the only Wii games I play) and

B)I'd have to buy it for my existing remotes.

I'm just looking for two cheap AA-powered one that my friends won't complain are too much of a competitive disadvantage when we play Super Smash Bros. and Super Mario Bros.

In fact, considering that, I'm leaning towards just buying four Gamecube controllers.. Saves on the batteries and they're at LEAST as good (if not better) for any of the Mario four-player games?

Balls. Super Mario Bros Wii does not support classic controller, it requires a wiimote..

So back to getting two of those..

Hi, I recommend you to buy Wand+ from Nyko. It includes Wii Motion+ functionality plus the so named "transport" technology. If you pair those Wands+ with Kama nunchucks you have vibration in both controllers, which seems like a good touch I don't think they are expensive at all and Nyko has been a good brand since always Regards

The nyko products are just as good as the official ones durability/life-span wise. I wish I could have bought all four of my wiimotes as the nykos. They dont look the best, but they are cheaper.
