I have a DS, but I'm not really satisfied with the games I have right now. I have Guilty Gear, Final Fantasy 12, Super Mario Bros., Yoshi's Island, and I've on and off borrowed a few games from my brother. Does anyone have any DS games that they'd highly recommend?? Or should I invest in a 3DS? I heard they're going to stop making DS games soon.

Thanks! That's definitely a lot of games. Some of them I already knew about, because my brother has them. If there aren't any on this list that anyone else would suggest, please let me know!

There's plenty of DS games, like he said I also recommand Dragon Quest IV V VI, and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days & RE:Coded.

And the 3DS has Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, Kid Icarus Uprising, Super Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart, Dead or Alive Dimensions, & Tekken 3D Prime Edition.

Personally, you could just get the DS or DSi, but say if you ever want to play the newer games, & the Virtual Console. I say get a 3DS, you can play both the DS & 3DS games on it, plus the virtual console games, DSi ware games, and you can turn on & off the 3D feature.

Unless money is an issue, 3DS all the way, as there are little to no new DS games on the horizon.

Go with a 3ds for sure. Why buy the old system when you can get the new system that still plays the old games? I'd get a 3ds XL, there is a mario bundle for only like 159 at some stores around the holidays I think.

Well, I already have a DS light. I just have been looking for new games to play, and it's so hard since new ones aren't being released really. Which is why I'm debating whether I should just go ahead and get a 3DS.

I myself really can't recommend the 3DS as I don't even use mine for gaming anymore.

DS has enough great games for a decade of gaming and even if they stopped making new games today, it will be a few years before you'd have trouble finding used games so you can wait a while on the 3DS still if you want. I love mine though and I play it about twice as much as every other system I have combined right now.

The one DS game I'd recommend right now is 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. I am playing it for the first time now and it's just riveting.

I'd say, if you have the money, invest in a 3DS XL just so you have more options in terms of games. :) The screen for the 3DS XL is nice, bright, and crisp. Great for playing pokemon :P

But if not, that guy at the top had an awesome list of games for you :D.

I'd also recommend Elite Beat Agents and Rocket Slime. :)

Actually 3DS has two of the best games of all time, Bravely Default and Zelda OOT best version

Also will get a new Zelda, Bravely Default 2 and Layton games

Of course that stands for Japan only, as BD is not yet confirmed for US/Europe and may never actually come

BD isn't even out yet in English, and you call it one of the best games of all time? Also, lol @ OoT still being anywhere near the best.

I have read the japanese reviews and impressions obviously, the game is released and has been reviewed

OOT is still top, feels as fresh as when i first played it, every time feels amazing and unique

Remember that not all things get better, it is like movies today are generally a joke comparing to older ones

I would say besides few games like Lost Odyssey, Dark Souls, Fable, games like FF9 and Zelda OOT,MM are still my top games of all time

OOT and FF9 are defiantly top games of all time, Bravely Default seems like one of them as well, if it comes to US we will know

Depends on where he lives, in the EU the 3DS really isn't worth the money.

It all depends on whether Bravely Default will come to Europe or not
