Looks nice. I love the style they'e going for. It looks like they've taken lessons on how to make a Wii game that doesn't look like crap. Let's hope they've complemented those lessons with lessons on how to make a Wii game that doesn't control like crap,
Me can not belive that Red Steel 2 won't have any multiplayer!!!:evil::evil::evil: Who is the moron at Ubisoft who green lit this crap. One of the reasons why the first Red Steel didn't do to well is was because of its lack of a coherent multiplayer mode. The first one had a multiplayer mode... but it wasn't online. Now they're droping it!
Honastly....im not lickeing it...while i love cel shaded games, i dont want rs2 to do it. it just dosnt fit..while the first red steel was bad, there where some parts where the graphics where GREAT. now that we have seen that the wii can pull of amazing graphics i hoped ubisoft would keep the game looking realistic but still artistic...i think they took the easy way out. also no multiplayer of any kind and no blood (seriously it REDsteel!) is just fail to melegend26They probably didn't go realistic so that it wouldn't be so expected to go gory, even though choosing the name Red Steel doesn't make much sense given that. It worked for Prince of Pesia with it coming off two violent M rated games. It looks like they listened to people with the whole shooting in sword battles, I hope they make the game more fantasy then the last one so that guys can like block bullets or something, forcing you into sword duels. 2 on 1 sword fights would also be a cool addiition, its certainly doable with WM+.
No, that's the quality of the magazine scan. It's not a proper quality screenshot. Why is that annoying filter over it? Is it a picture of a TV?
Besides that, it looks sick.

But from what I can make out of it, it looks awesome.
Red Steel sold over a Million copies - it did well.Me can not belive that Red Steel 2 won't have any multiplayer!!!:evil::evil::evil: Who is the moron at Ubisoft who green lit this crap. WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! check out that angle of the controller! Gotta love M+! Obviously they seem tobe at least "trying" to take advantage of the tool
Can't wait. I wonder why they chose to go with this art direction. I'm not complaining, it seems like it's pretty slick. Just makes me wonder.

Naturally that must mean its a good game... That one million more than makes up for the fact that the story/voiceacting/controls were fubar

I was talking about sales - as Cronus233 referred to the game as 'not doing well' I did not mention the game itself - "Try harder next time"
Nah, people did enjoy the first, like myself. But the main problem with it are the bugs and glitches, and the whole rushed feeling the game had. The multiplayer wasn't very good, either. But underneath was an enjoyable shooter/swordfighter with the right idea.I think I'm the only person in the world that liked the first. The only bad thing was how terrible the multiplayer was.. I'll buy this for sure though! I love cell-shading!

Yeah same here. Cell-shading gets a lot of bad press for being a "gimmick" but I love it! Especially on the Wii where realism is frankly impossible, cell-shading is a dignified alternate, and if done right (killer 7, wind waker nudge nudge...) is really just amazing to look at.

I thought the multiplayer in Red Steel was horrible. If cutting multiplayer means they intend to bring us an epic and polished single player game, I'm ready to make such a sacrifice. There are a lot of good FPS games out there that don't have multiplayer.
i really dont know but it think something is wrong, i like the game but the design doesnt appeal to me at the moment, maybe i would like to see it in motion. also when i first saw the screenshots it just reminded me of No More Heroes but on 1st person view
Honestly the first Red Steel has a much better art direction in my personal opinion; much more detail, lusher environments and just more going on in general. That filter is also very annoying too. No multiplayer and bland graphics = no bueno.......umcommonEh, most here would be hard pressed to agree with you. There wasn't much detail in RS, it had some rather generic/uninteresting settings. Such cIassics as "Chop Shop", "Kitchent", and "Airplane Hanger". Thats also not a filter on the game, its just a bad quality scan. You, sir, seem to be hating on this just to hate.
You and I should get little half heart necklaces and you can wear the "best" one and I'll have the "friends." ...So I agree with you.;)Yeah same here. Just stated how I honestly feel about the game and it's art direction (can't use the S word on this site for some reason).

And I don't know why multiplayer is so important to so many of you.
