The swordplay looks even better than it did in the E3 build. If nothing else, it looks really fun. I hope there's more to it than good gunplay and awesome swordplay, but I'll be fine with just that.
I am beyond pumped! Great new preview. This game will be a testament to how gorgeous the graphics on the Wiican and should always be and to how versitile and next-gen the controler really is.
Greg Miller at IGN can suck it :P
The appearence of the ninjas is relieving, (and not just because I'm a manga fan!):P
Earlier, I thought that the swordplay might become stale if you werejust dishing out super powerful moves on those puny "Jackals". Now that I see the ninjas, I'm reassured that you will have to approach the game strategically if you want to win.
I have a slight concern over the regenerating health, though...
The gameplay looks great but the whole disappearing enemies thing still irks me.

Yeah it still strikes me as a strange decision on thier part, and the striking the doors to open them. I like the level design, the open arena is much more fitting to this type of combat then an endless string of corridors. The shockwave is cool, I wonder if you can do it from air, I remember from the E3 demo they had that launch move, if you could do the shockwave off ot that and plant someone in the ground, that would be great, Having enemies have different types of melee weapons outside of the sword is a good move.

What FPS doesn't have regenerating health now? At least it recovers after the fight and not during the fight. On a side note they should have made that cinema scene of the train actual gameplay.

That would be cool, so far this game reminds me of a first person Devil May Cry"every game is better with ninjas" this guy is wise :P although i still dont like the fact that the enemies disappear like in a beat'em up, and stages are pretty much "fight, move to the next fight, fight again", but at least the swordfight is better. anyone remembers "ROMAAAAAAAAAAN, THE CONTROLS ARE NOT RESPONDING CORRECTLY, GET TO THE NEXT PART OF THE STAGE"? :PBrunoBRSlol welcome to the FPS genre, your about 20 years late :P I' m happy he has moves like that spin and its not just horizontal slash, vertical slash, stab. Anyone notice that how the ninja's move when you shoot at them is the exact same way that guy moved from the original Red Steel trailer, even the whole switching from the gun to the sword to block the incoming attack. Looks like their finally catching up to that trailer lol.
Aw, I rather like the disappearing enemies. It gives it a very arcade feel that I think is kind of neat.Arc2012you got the reason they "blink out". makes it look like a beat'em up arcade. although i didnt like it that much, since that's basically the only part in the whole game that reminds of "the ancient arcade golden era".

OMG, you're right! Where d'ya think he went to college!?!
:P
But yah, I don't like the idea of having the enemies blink away when you kill them. It's feels so... tech-demoey to me.
I'm all in favor of no blood, they just need to have the enemies stay on the ground when you've killed them.

or disappear in a more styIish way. maybe they turn to dust and disappear, or they blow up :P if they want to keep the "blinking disappearance", they gotta make the rest of the game fit that "arcady" atmosphere. then it would be interesting. and am i the only one with problems to notice when the enemy got hit? i know there's a life bar on the top, but what i mean is they dont even flinch after a sword slice. Please Log In to post.
