What do you think they could do to make a new version of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk that separates its image from the old Wii. I am still explaining to people that the Wii U is not just a controller add-on for the original Wii.

Mark "Wii U" on the brand instead of "Wii."
Improve the speaker quality and power.
Add a rechargeable battery that lasts longer.
Rearrange and increase button real estate.
Increase IR range, but that may have to do with the receiver.
Add flat analog stick to Wiimote akin to 3DS.
Add B button on top and replace it with R and ZR.
Add a second trigger button on the Wiimote to create parity with other controllers.
Replace 1 and 2 with X and Y. Improve squishy shoulder buttons on Nunchuck.
Change C and Z to L and ZL.
Bring the PNI Magnetic Sensor along with improved gyroscope and an accelerometer into the new controller. Source
Edit*
Add clickable buttons to both analog sticks.
A,B,X,Y should replace the area where the D-Pad presides on the Wiimote.
The Wiimote is so limited in its button placement, its a creative block for developers. We should have controller that has the precision and accuracy of the Pro Controller with the modern innovations of the Wii Remote.
