I still don't understand why they haven't made it
Phantom hourglass looks like total worthless crap compared to OoT

No I would not, they should remake it for Wii, using classic controls and expand upon it maybe add in a new expansion or something. But even if it were just a straight remake with updated graphics and the old control scheme I would buy it. But not for DS

Phantom Hourglass has better graphics than OoT... OoT is one of the largest games ever made, I doubt it would fit on the DS without sacrificing something. There was barely any load times too... Besides I don't think just an emulation would be enough for people to buy it. In Super Mario 64 DS they at least upgraded most things.
Although I would be the first person at the door if they actually do remake Ocarina of Time. It still seems extremely unlikely.
Ported to DS, not remade. If they remade it, it would probably be terrible. they'd use those cartoon graphics that just don't fit that particular game... ...I'm pretty sure if they did, however, they would use multiple cartridges--especially considering that cartridges in the new DSi are hot swappable now. The fact that they added that feature would ensure that they're probably planning some multi-cartridge games. :Dnicktarist
I think multi-cartridge games would be a bad idea for a game like Zelda, or any DS games. A lot of kids would pick it up and it would just confuse things. Who wants to carry multiple carts to play separate parts of one game on a handheld? It just isn't Nintendo's style. Why would hot-swapping ensure multi-cartridge games?
Sorry if I sounded too harsh.
