i had the hinge problem and well my warrenty was expired so i super glued it..i know it wont hold up long and i hear that u can buy replacement shells..would this fix that issue and work??..does anyone know what im talkin about..??i think i might get one so i dont have to worry about the super glue not working ...
Sigh even if the warranty expired they would have replaced the unit depending on what you said. Since you used superglue kiss the free repair goodbye. The hinge issue affected first run productions of the ds lite and they started to replace the affected units for free since the screwup was on their end. The warranty btw was a year.
My L trigger stopped working and I sent it off to get repaired. It was under warranty. They replaced the circuit board inside it and the casing. I don't know if that's got anything to do with your question but I thought I would share.

yeah..i called them and asked them and they said it would pry cost around 80 bucks for repair since the whole hinge broke off..
and its a lite....i saw u can buy them but u have to import them...
Actually DS lite shells can be gotten for less then fourty bucks depending upon what merchant you go to. There are customshells for instance that are of different colors then retail if you want a change of perspective.There is even a transparent shell if you really want to make your lite unique. Make damn sure you put out a bowl for the screws or you will be screwed if you lose them.

yeah..iv been there..i like the black one with lcd lights..but the only thing is that it cost like 30 bucks and its in another country than us so its gonna cost a little more than usual..and its my mom who is putting her credit card in..
Hmm, the shells on ebay aren't really for the hinge but more for the cover on the ds lite, like you have a white ds but you want a black top, you can buy that,
I only seen those but there is no harm in looking and if there is one, you should buy it because Nintendo charges a big amount of money,
