Has anyone had to do this yet? I've only had mine for a couple years - gotta know if Nintendo will do it for free, or if I should buy a new Lite before they stop producing them

Ive had to buy 2 replacement batteries over the past couple years for my old dinosaur DS. I've found them at Radioshack for like $3. I'd spend the $3 on a battery and try to ride it as far as you can as the DS Lite gets cheaper and cheaper, although DS Lites are sweet lookin hehe...

TC, i think you should do the research and find out if ds lites still have that weak hinge problem. I know mine did. I'd say you should buy the DSi, or maybe the new dsi coming out soon, if it is coming out in the US.
