Well, after 3 Metroid Prime games all earning almost universally high acclaim, I think it's fair to say that Retro are very talented developers, and could well continue to be a key part of Nintendo's arsenal. However, the Prime trilogy is over, and so far there's been no word of what comes next. What do you all think they will or should work on now?
Retro can make anything they want. :D Whether it's a new Metroid game (doubtful), picking up that Raven Blade game, or something entirely different, they have my permission to do whatever they want :P
Retro seem to have shown a talent for maximising the Wii controls and some interesting level design. I'd like to see them make something wholly new, or return to one of their downed IP's.
Alternatively they could take an extinct franchise and reserrect it for the new generation.
They sould continue with metroid games in 3D all the metroid prime games except pinball are great. A game were we could play as Dark Samus would be cool too.:D

retro have insisted that is the last metroid they are doing for now, this is so they can go do their own stuff

Well...no, since it's not really up to them what they make, they are largely at the beck and call of Nintendo HQ.
hmmm, that would be true if they weren't a second party developer... while nintendo owns them, they are free to develop at their leisure
also they have released statements themselves (as I said) that they aren't making more metroid games, will probably be sent back to EAD (which includes the original RD1 team who created metroid on Nes)
I like raven blade because i've heard of that game since the GC lauched (just like Kameo: elements of power, which I wanted :evil:).
Kid Icarus is a good idea for them too, since the original Metroid was a reimagining of Kid Icarus after Kid Icarus wasn't much of a success. You can totally tell, the games are sisters of each other. Both made by Gunpei Yokoi, btw.

There is absolutely no way whatsoever that retro will make casual trash. Retro is good at what they do, and they will continue to do what they will do
Since I'm not interested in Raven Blade, I hope they'll work on something new. Unless they want to make another 3-D Metroid game, of course, cause Litchie loves his Metroids!

Can't say I've heard that. I hope it's not true. They have said that MP3 is the last one in the Prime series. That doesn't have to mean that MP3 is their last Metroid game, though.
I would like a spinoff Metroid, being that a regular FPS starring federation soldiers, space pirates, perhaps other races. It could even be related to some new details unveiled for MP, like the assault on Valhalla :-O
