I wish they would continue with metroid, I would love to see them reinvent the series again, not saying it would be the best system or engine, but imagine metroid with the unreal engine, kinda like gears of war, third person action adventure. I think metroid would be pretty damn sick like that.
besides raven blade they had four or five other games announced for the cube that never saw the light of day after the metriod prime series was received so well. i liked the futuristic hover car combat game they were working on back then. i would like to see something rise out of that.
with the perfect controls in metroid prime 3, i think retro can perfect anything on wii, they should make a sword fighting game....and it will effect wii like god of war did for ps2
How about using their perfected FPS controls to make Mario Paintball. Include tthings like blocks containing power ups, flying caps, bee suits, bo-bomb bazookas, fire flower flamethrowers etc. Characters from across the franchises, with suitable special powers like SSBB. Levels from Mario, Metroid, Zelda, Starfox etc.. And all online.
A family oriented, easy to get into, but deep alternative to to the sci-fi dystopias of Halo and Battlefield.
So, I added my insight on this by simply stating that I think that Retro Studios should work on Earthbound, another classic Nintendo product, seems completely relevant. But someone reported it as a disrpuptive post and I got a warning about it... so that's it, I'm done with Gamespot.... I only have a free acount, so not returning isn't going to make a big deal on either end, it's all good tho, I'm in togood of physical condition to associate with the fat fanboys that run this website... so, goodbye forever.
