I was just looking at gettig a new RPG game for a Long trip I am about to take, and I was considering many of the ones recommended on the forum. When I looked into FF:RW, I saw it was a sequel. IF I get this game, will I understand whats going on? DOes the fact that it is a sequel even matter?
Well I absolutely HATE FF games (no offense fanboys, but its not my type of game) and i played my friends copy and i honestly didnt know what was going on (what else is new in those games?). Im sure "normal" ppl can follow along with the story, cause it got a great rating, however if u dont like FF games, you probably wont know whats going on.
Hmm of what I played I understood what was going on, admittedly I had played some of FF12 so I had a bit of an idea about who people were, but I didn't really enjoy the gameplay. Wasn't my thing, but hey thats me.
I have been playing FFCC:ROF, however, and it's a lot better in my opinion.
It helps to have played both, but you don't need to. If you don't mind your RPG having RTS elements this could definitely keep you busy on a long car ride.
