Well, my grandma (who also plays video games, introduced me to them actually) walked into gamestop to preorder me Galaxy a while back, like last month. Well while she was there she also subscribed me to Game Informer. I got November's issue today, and I was browsing through it, and I saw this. It was in a little section about which console is right for you this holiday season. This was the little box about the Wii titles:

"Most gamers will concede that the many games tha are available on all three systems play worst on the Wii, due to the lowered quality of both the graphics and the occasionally incongruous controls. Games made exclusively for the Wii are where the system shines, and Nintendo has some of the biggest exclusive licenses around. Major exclusive titles include The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Paper Mario, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario Kart, and Wii Sports. Non-exclusive titles include Madden NFL 08, Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, and Rayman: Raving Rabbids."

I searched on Gamespot and all they had it for was the 360 and PS3. Does Game Informer know something Gamespot doesn't, or is Game Informer misinformed?

Harmonix said they would like to do a wii version. It would be kept secret and come out months later since they would have been late working on it since the wii success caught them by surprise.

It hasn't been announced so it wouldn't be there. My guess is that Harmonix is waiting for a harddrive so they can get downloadable content to the Wii.

I'm faithful in that the Wii will get Rock Band (mostly because there's a PS2 version soI guess this is one PS2 port no one will complain about...unless you hate music). It's just a matter of time. I just hope Nintendo comes out with a Harddrive and fast!

Itsnothing great. It's also 170-200$. And it's not like guitar hero where you can just play by yourself, you have to always have people with you to play. Also from what I've hear is that the drum set breaks easily, the peddle. I would rather have guitar hero more then rock band because I would want to play it by myself more then with people.

Well, on the YouTube video of a guy demonstrating the Everyone's Nintendo Channel (JP Version), in the games coming out sections, you can hear him say "Rock Band 2." Whether he was reading too fast or translating Japanese wrong, I don't know. =/

IMO I don't like that much rock band, I already played it and it's fun, but I think it's too expensive and where would you keep the drums? a lot of space if you have a small room... great disadvantages for a few advantages

No, I believe he said Rockman 2 not Rock Band 2. Besides, I think it's a liiitttllle too early to already be thinking of another Rock Band, and also being hinted on a Japanese Wii channel seems kinda skeptical.

I hope that Rock Band does come to the wii, but all I would get is the game because I have no interest in drums/singing.

The wii should be able to handly rock band because if the ps2 can handle it why cant the wii handle it. Also as far as downloading songs why cant you just download them to the Sd card.Songs arent that big and Sd cards are about 2 gigs so there is plenty of space for songs on them. also they can make use of the wii unique controls. You can use the wii remote and nunchuck like drums, recyce the same guitar for guitar hero 3 i dont know about singing, furthermore the drums guitar and mice can plug into the gamecube slots so its definally possiable.
