It offers more value for your money. Rock Band is a gimped version of the PS3/360 game, Guitar Hero: World Tour has everything that the PS3/360 version's have, including downloadable content and a music editor.
Guitar Hero 4. Rock Band was stripped of some features and i don't like that and since I've already played Rock Band for 360, it would be like doing everything over with the same songs. So no, I rather wait for Guitar Hero 4
It has downloadable content whereas Rock Band Wii does not. You have to buy a whole separate disc for the new songs, which kills the smoothness of going from the new songs back to the old.

My birthday is august 8th so I had this same question. I would say if you have atleast 5 friends get rock band but if you only have like 3 good friends or god forbid no friends, im not sure:?
