Rock Band Vs. Guitar Hero

I have to admit that I took a bit of solace in the fact that Rock Band wasn't going to come to the Wii (before it was recently announced, that is). Last Fall, the internet was abuzz with debates about which one was the better choice, both with some really good points. Meanwhile, I, the Wii owner, didn't have that choice and therefore didn't have to worry about whick one was better; I had the choice of Guitar Hero. And that's what I bought. Now Rock Band is finally coming to the Wii in the form of a PS2 port. I was thinking about getting it anyway, but my GHIII controller apparently won't work with it. That's really all I needed to come crawling back to Guitar Hero. And thank goodness they're going the full-band route.

I know some of you may own other consoles, but I'm curious about whether or not anyone else here is interested in GH World Tour. Because of the Wii owners' particular circumstanses, I have a feeling it could do really well on the Wii, as opposed to the soon to be released Rock Band Wii.

What do y'all think?

Actually they have a stronger drum pedal in the Wii version as well as the newer models of the old version. But I agree that it's not worth a purchase because of how horribly it's gimped.

Yes, Guitar Hero should be your choice if you only own a Wii. World Tour will be the third GH game on the system, so you'll get a lot of use out of your investment.

The GH4 drums look much better than the Rockband ones, downloadable content looks likely, and the new feature look interesting.

In re Rock Band, yeah that's what I hear. I was really happy to hear that GH would start making full-band games.

Is GH:WT coming out for PS2? I only have GH3 for PS2 (they were all sold out of Wii, so my parents got the PS2 version for X-mas instead) and want to be able to reuse the guitar.NALDOxCORE
