can i use a wireless router with a dial up connection? if not, then i might get dsl soon, anyway (and hopefully)

You could, but it would be splitting your speed from 56k down to 32k. That's why no one ever does it.

It would be so slow, you wouldn't be able to manage. You can get DSL pretty cheap nowadays so I say its time to upgrade.
